It still worked, but a few of the keys didn't function and it was showing it's age. I picked up a new one and wonder what's the best browser to use for safety and surfing these days?
By default this one uses Microsoft and they sent me something for Edge. I know nothing about that and used Chrome on the old one. Thanks for the education!
I'm quite fond of Chrome, though Firefox is coming on strong. Though I am a MS partner, I believe in Chrome.
It's been so long... do I have to download it? It might be here and I just have to do the swap.
Since I built my new machine and using Windows 10 pro, I have been using the Microsoft edge browser, however the coping of picture address is a no go! I still switch to Chrome for some things especially when I need to copy an address link of a picture!
I'm also using Windows Defender and Avast for protection...

You will have to download it from Google.
Chrome or Firefox.
I manage a team of software devs and we build lots of web. All my devs use firefox for the great debug tools. I personally prefer Chrome, but I spend less time actually debugging web pages than they do.
Using software from your operating system provider is just a line I don't cross. There was a paper written at MIT many years back about this, which I can't locate with my google-foo at the moment.

Don't know if you will care about this or not, but, on one of my systems running Windows 10 pro, I am using Windows Defender for the time being. On Windows startup, I have it running the following from a batch file to make sure that it has the most current definitions possible (without me having to worry about it):
"C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\"MpCmdRun.exe -signatureupdate
(the quotes are needed because of the spaces in the directory names)
Kinda like a car battery. Lucky to get five.
Jesse, was you battery dead? They don't like to bootup if the battery is bad! New batteries may make it good, but dust and stuff can kill the fans and cooling on them. I use air compressor often to blow out dirt and dust, hair if you have pets can be drastic.
It's still running fine. It was more of the bad keys issues. I had two dead ones and one other one that worked when it wanted to!
I only use Firefox. I put it on everything, even my cell phone.
I think I might need to switch this one over to Chrome. For some reason Tanfoglio in the lower left corner shows as a black X. If I post a picture link, it also shows as a black X. Any ideas?
screenshot or URL to the exact webpage?
Let's see if any of this works

Just got the new one back from being repaired. It had the HD go toes up in less than a month!
I think I will spend the $50.00 to get a new keyboard put in the old one. I paid to have a back-up!
Good luck with the keyboard change out, $50 isn't bad to replace it in a laptop. 8)
