I likes my Blue Dot. But after reading about Longshot on this forum, i decided to try it. BEST metering powder I've ever used. I've read about how well it meters, but one can't truly understand this concept unless they try it for themselves. The variance is well within +/- 0.1gr. I hope it performs for me as well as BD does!
Longshot works best at the upper end. I do use the RCBS uniflow but verify each on the beam scale.
I usually set the uniflow to through slightly short or exact then trickle up to exact...
Yes it is usually only a few kernels to finish...
#9 and Power Pistol also meter very well.
Longshot and AA #9 both meter very well.

Thanks for the advice The_Shadow. I'll work my way up to near the upper end, but likely will stay just below it 'cause I just want to rely on my measure and don't want to trickle my handgun loads. That's WAY too much effort for me! :o
What about 800X.......NOT!!!!!!!

Wet oatmeal measures better than 800X but it does make the bullets go fast.
LongShot does meter well, but I still check every throw on the gempro 250 for consistency
