Title: First pistol kill
Post by: First Manchu on January 26 2018 09:27:07 PM MST
This past November I dropped a West Texas Whitetail doe with my Gen 2 Glock 20. I used factory Honady 200 grn XTP
That I had since the 90's. The shot was 16 yards away and it blew through both shoulders and cut through the outer layer of the heart. One of the lungs looked like black jello. Now if I can get the picture to download I can show it off. My first pistol hunt was awesome. The deer made it twenty yards before she fell under a Cedar tree and now I'm hooked on 10mm hunting. Time to experiment with hand loads.

Sweet. Congratulations! I'm trying it out for the first time this fall myself. I'll be using 220 gr Underwood hard cast.

Nice work it is contiguous though. Love the 10MM hand loading makes it even more effective. I really like Hawk bullets for hunting.
