Title: Shot Show 2018 Jan (23-26) Updates
Post by: Intercooler on January 14 2018 07:26:31 AM MST
I will be scouring to see what rolls out and will post here what I find. If you find anything, please add it!

Just wondering if Springfield will roll out that XD 10mm they have talked about forever finally. If they don't, I see more egg on their face coming! It's like the best time to do such an announcement.

Or even better maybe they will announce a limited edition FDE or weird digital pattern color version of their new .380! Such a game changing release would surely send everyone at Shot Show into mass hysteria.

Nah that would be sig...they have a penchant for that madness.

I'd love to see sig release that 4.4" 10mm they said was coming back before the 5" model released. I would also like to see springfield release that xdm 10mm. I sure hope it has the mod 2 grips (without the gripzone banner) rather than the lego block grips the old one had. Never understood those, never will.

I would snatch up a Ruger American or an m&p if they made them in 10mm. On a side note I am super interested in the new Sig slim double stack.

All of the P220s released a few years ago have 4.4" barrels. If a 5" was released I never encountered it.

I have a SA/DA and a DAO 10mm P220's. They both have 5" barrels.

The Sig Sauer website lists full size 10mm P220's with 5"bbls.

https://www.sigsauer.com/store/p220-hunter-full-size.html

BTW, I would be all over a M&P, XD Series, or a Ruger American in 10mm!!

I'd never seen the Hunter model previously. I own one of the standard versions, sold some others and handled a few. All had the 4.4" barrel. Seems only the Hunter has the 5".

I have one of these and it is a super gun in my opinion.  It is probably my most accurate 10mm.

I do not think they are available anymore, Lipsey's Exclusive.

Both of mine are P220 Elites, not the hunter models.

ALL the Sig 220 10mm models are 5". Even the limited edition ones. They all have stainless frames. Not aluminum ones.
Personally would be excited about 3.9 carry 10mm.

I believe you are thinking about the gray guns Inc conversions. Those were all 4.4". Sig said at shot show that they planned a 4.4" but thus far a factory one has not surfaced. Last I heard was from grey guns inc. Bruce said they submitted the recoil system but that it needed lots of engineering time. Time sig Sauer didn't have. That was probably more than 2 years ago now. Sig also never released the true hunt ready edition. It was originally supposed to have a Romeo 1 on it. I think they canned that because they were having failure issues in major quantites on 9mm pistols. No way the Romeo 1 was going to told up to a 10mm.

The gray guns 10mm was what I wanted Sig to release.  Alloy frame, 4.4" barrel, a real "carry" gun in 10mm.

Can you carry the steel frame 5" versions that sig has offered?  Sure, with a good belt you certainly can.  But you also know you have a chunk of steel in your pants.  I would still like to see something .75 lbs lighter.

Yeah, me too. I was already checking the balance in my "gun" account thinking we were going to finally get a CZ-built 10mm.

Yeah, Im quite frustrated and disgusted by that. One would think if the CEO says its near complete and a 2017 product in February, they would at least have something...anything to show at shot show. It's also quite annoying when the product they said they were only talking about...not working on just talking about comes out before the one that is supposedly near the end.

That being said I just watched that video again, and the guy on the right kinda popped his head up when the CEO said XDM, like wtf are you talking about? I kinda wonder if it was being worked on at all prior to that point in time.

Im just gonna start referring to Springfield at Vltor 2.0 from now on until they prove they didn't just whimp out and make only a 1911 10mm.

Watching the videos of Rob and the guy in the suit go over all the new products I almost spit my drink laughing when they said how much work they had to put into the 1911 to get it to run 10mm. ;D Maybe springfield needs some new engineers if they had that much trouble getting running what rock island does for less than a third the price.

I did three days at SHOT , thought I saw EVERYTHING at least five times.

NEVER saw a NOVESKE logo anywhere. ZERO talk about this gun, etc.

I'm sure, knowing NOVESKE , it should be right....... but it will be expen$ive.

Going to ignore the price.

The deployment is neat but the concept reminds me of that weird holster that you carried appendix and it kinda auto-deployed a gun when you pulled up on a flap.  Not sure the target market. Maybe security detail but in that application I'd prefer to have a sub gun under a jacket not a brick in the pocket.  I thought stash gun but it's not that much smaller than a full sized glock w/o the mag loaded.

Lone Wolf said they would start taking orders for their large frames at Shot Show. I didn't see any videos on this though. Building a 10mm with one sounds pretty cool. Might spend my money on the this year.

I'm considering the Sig p365. Also the s&w m&p 40 compact 2.0 although that is pre shot show.

Interested in a SIG 365 but want to rent one first.  Currently carry a 938 and if the 365 is really as close in size as it seems I'd consider switching if it felt good in hand and trigger reach as comfortable.

SIG P365...in line for one already. I didn't want to be a Beta Tester, but want I one by the time warm weather hits. I think they may have this figured out. And it will run just fine.

Also interested in the 10mm NOVESKE. Not a fan of the paperwork and BS to buy an SBR.....So may pass and get a Zenith MP5 clone instead.

Otherwise....nothing REALLY tripped my trigger.
