That's pretty cool looking. How is it spring? Like a .45 or a bit heavier?

Is this a conversion?

I wondered how long it would take for someone to ask that.
Yes. It was born a 357 Sig and I converted it to 10mm.

Some things I learned doing this, since I could not find any information on anyone doing this

External extractor guns (ie: sig) need to have a extractor relief cut done on the barrel on ramped barrel models. I ended  up doing this myself with a file since I did not know to ask to have this done when I ordered the barrel.
Round butt 1911 models do not use a commander hammer spring. The stock is still in there untill I can get the correct spring. Officer's model spring??
Getting the barrel link pin in was the hardest part of the whole process.

It has a very tight lockup and shoots very accurate. I put a little over 100 rounds through it this morning. Sig 180gr fmj and Underwood 165 & 180 grain gold dots.
It does not like Wilson 9 round mags at all. Several times It would not even start to chamber the next round ( spring not getting the next round up fast enough? Weak springs? Slide speed to fast ? Maybe when I get a heavier hammer spring it will make a difference. It also had several  times where the last round was almost straight up and down in the mag and obviously did not chamber. Colt mags ( metalform) and who ever makes sig's 10mm mags did not have these issues. They did however have several times with the slide not locking back on the last round ( both brands) excessive slide speed ? They would lock back when racked manually.
Overall I am very pleased how this has turned out

Mods I have done
Fusion 10mm ramped barrel (Wilson/Nowlin)
Flat bottom firing pin stop
Gi commander guide rod
22lb Wolff  recoil spring
Ambi-saftey  (I'm a southpaw)
Stoner CNC  grips

If it is an officers spring I think you can just stick with the original.  I have never found an extra power officers mainspring.  The spring column is just too short to accommodate thicker wire.

Edit - If you do find one, post it up as I want one too.

Wilson makes a flat wire 25lb officers spring and Wolff has a 25lb officers spring. I have one of each ordered.

That is awesome to know.  My CCO project will benefit from that a great deal!
