Title: Kensight adjustable install on EAA Hunter
Post by: Intercooler on January 11 2018 01:55:31 PM MST
This was a good company to talk with when I was trying to get a GP rear sight setup. I have been running a Henning fixed on my Hunter since the Super Sight kept losing position. This one is different in that it has a position holder of a different design. Not only that, but their catalog actually has screws (what goes) and other parts for the sights. You can't order parts for the EAA sights  :(
They offer a host of other sights for firearms and I might swap some more later! My plan is to match up the sight to the old Super Sight to make the install easier. Fingers are crossed!

I spent about 30 minutes last night and not there yet. I see me working on it another 30 minutes tonight as well. Hopefully that will get me there!

My poor hands took a beating getting this one fit! I think next time I will pay the Smith his $50.00  :o

Today I tried it out and dialed the elevation in okay. I went all the way to the left and still couldn't get it centered. The windage adjustment window on this one seems narrower versus the Super Sight. I will have to drift the sight to the left and adjust it from there. Next time out!

Today I had the adjustment after drifting the sight over. So far so good!

Curious as to what specific problem you had with the OEM sight?  Adjustments backing out and moving up or L/R?  Sight moving in the dovetail?  I have a new to me Hunter and I like the sight picture but will be on the lookout for something moving.

Also considering going to a reflex sight because the eyes aren't what they once were.
