Title: I handled some escapee pistols today at Smoky Mountain Knife Works
Post by: Intercooler on December 20 2017 11:24:11 AM MST
I'm talking about some of the ones I wanted to look at without any luck at more than 10 shops. Although known for knives, they also have one of the biggest selections of guns. I found:

CZ Shadow 2 9mm does have that front heavy feel and deep beavertail cut didn't feel as good in the hand as Tanfoglios. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on another Limited.
CZ SP-019mm felt better than the S2 in balance/grip. Still not > Tanfoglios.
Grand Power P40 10mm was there and the grip I didn't like. My GP K100 is thinner plus has back-strap changes. It loses out to the Tanfoglios as well.

I find the grip very nice actually, much better than the Glock. I can't remember what the Tanfoglio is like. However, I bet it doesn't have the nice recoil of the GP :)

It's better than a Glock for sure, just the swell in the palm area felt a little funky to me versus the flat of the Tanfoglios.

You were just 20 minutes up the road from me. SMKW started carrying a decent selection of firearms a couple of years ago. I'm assuming you hit Bud's as well?
