The part that offended me the most was;  "...we're going to need to look more closely at a culture that all too often glorifies guns and violence."  And after that, the rest of the blasphemy as spoken by our President.  I wonder who wrote what he read.

We'll see where and to what extent it goes when that time comes.

I really hope it is just a bunch of hot air.  But, I don't think we will be so lucky.

About this group that would just as soon disarm all of us law abiding citizens while at the same time trying to make life easier on criminals, I wonder if it's ever occured to them how many mass-death shooting violences have occured within the borders of "gun free" zones.

Our reasoning and the Constitution are just as sound after this as before it.

They are using this tragic event to do what they always wanted to do. They ignore all the reasons why it's the wrong thing to do as well as the fact it has never worked in the past.

I believe we need to fight harder than them to make sure Congress doesn't get the votes.

He spoke of weapons of war....does that include muzzle loaders and spears?
Biden was smirking.
He did say high capacity clips if that's the case I'm fine with it leave my magazines alone.

Look to see a  all weapons registration proposed.

He isn't a bad guy.  He just honestly doesn't see the world as we do.  He looks at a country like Japan, or Norway, or Germany and the only puzzle pieces he notices are low homicide rates and heavily restricted or banned private arms.

He doesn't see that the reason they have low intentional homicide rates is cultural, and it probably wouldn't matter if they did have lots of guns in citizens hands (Switzerland) they would still have lower homicide rates.  He thinks that by taking away guns he can force that cultural change.

The problem is, given recent supreme court opinions, such as Heller and McDonald, combined with opinions like Miller, you can now make a very valid argument that the second amendment to the constitution protects an individual (Heller) incorporated (McDonald) right of all citizens to the weapons commonly used at the squad level by the US Army (Miller).  Last I checked at the squad level the US army uses short barreled, high capacity, intermediate caliber rifles with burst or full-auto capability, as well as high-capacity handguns.

It will be an interesting rodeo.  Alan Gura may well have his work cut out for him over the next few years.
