Curious if anyone has first hand knowledge of Tripp's "System" 10 round 10mm magazines. Says that they have a different length spring, and a different follower from the 9 round.

I do not know about their 10mm stuff, but their 45ACP followers are the most jam resistant I have found.
I looked at the link you posted, and it looks like the 10mm mag uses a different follower.
Sorry, no help.

I just did my annual qualification last week and used my Night Hawk Custom 1911 10mm pistol that I have never qualified with before. I carried several Wilson Combat 9 round 10mm magazines as well as several Tripp Research 10 rd 10mm magazines that I have never used before. During the qualifications (which required multiple magazine combat reloads) I was firing a string when a round in the magazine failed to load. I had to rack the slide twice before the round was finally stripped from the magazine and loaded into the chamber. This was the only issue I had in the 50rd course of fire. And, it was with one of my brand new Tripp Research 10 rd magazines. The Wilson Combat magazines were all flawless. I only wish that Wilson Combat made 10 rd magazines for the 10mm. They unfortunately don't.
If you have questions about the Tripp Research 10 rd 10mm magazines, why don't you contact them through their website. I'm sure they will answer any of your questions.
I have and am still waiting on a response. Were you using the System 10 round or the extended length 10 round?

Interested also.
I'm not familiar with "System 10." These are their regular 10 rd extended 10mm magazines. The plastic wrap just says "Generation 2 Technology Cobra Mag." The magazine is stamped "10MM-RG." I bought these over a year ago through their website. I just clicked on your link. They didn't offer these "System" magazines when I placed my order. This is new to me. I'd like to know more about why these magazines are so expensive as opposed to the regular 10 rd extended magazines. Price is near Wilson Combat prices for extended 10 rd .45 ACP magazines.
I have no brief for you on the Tripp "System" magazines.
But, I think these might be relevant reading:

Perhaps Tripp has overcome these issues and has rock solid 10mm mags. That would be great.
The Tripp "System" 10 round Magazines are designed for USPSA single stack division shooters that shoot long seated 40's. They're short enough, they just fit in the USPSA box.
Reason is: In Single stack, "Major" shooters get points advantages on the targets but can only load 8 rounds. "Minor" shooter, (i.e. 9mm Luger) can load 10 rounds in the mag but get big point deductions for B,C,& D hits on the target.
The idea with the System mags is, a shooter can look over the stages beforehand and decide if it's more advantages to have the points or the extra rounds for less reloads during a stage. They no longer have to bring two guns, (40/45 and a 9mm and magazines and all the ammo for both calibers) one 40 cal gun can do both.
However, these mags are designed for long seated 40's and although 10mm's will fit, they don't have the extra spring tension necessary to overcome the extra slide velocity of full power 10mm ammo. Hence the reason Virgil offers a "10mm" 10 round mag that is slightly longer, with the extra spring power for full house 10's.
Hope this helps.
