First post here. I think this 10mm forum will enjoy seeing the videos of a custom 1911 in 10mm hitting 300 and 500 yard silhouette targets consecutively:

Here's the particulars on the pistol and ammo used for the 300 and 500 yard demonstrations:
Pistol- Accuracy X PRO PLUS Series™ 1911 Longslide
Barrel- Accuracy X, Inc. 6 inch Match Barrel
Caliber- 10mm
Powder- LongShot
Charge Weight- 9.5 gr.
Bullet- 180 gr. JHP Nosler Sporting Projectile
Case- Starline
Primer- F150M
Seated 1.245
FPS- 1300+
While I couldn't begin to build a 1911, I did load the ammo. The load data is maximum listed load on the Hodgdon website; http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol
Every charge was weighed on an RCBS Chargemaster.
There was some variation in bullets by a couple tenths of a grain. I could of and probably should have sorted for only those at exactly 180 grains. Same for the brass. Nevertheless, the load shot well.
Well done!
