They make some pretty interesting offerings! Has anyone seen CFE loaded ammo?
I'm going to place an order since the response I got they said 1300 FPS out of a G20. That's pretty decent!

I found a little CFE information:
http://www.shootingtimes.com/ballistics/fast-look-hodgdon-cfe-pistol-powder/
I found a 5% code if anyone wants to try them.
Coupon 'PRACTAC5', 5% off
The MFG got back to me saying the powder is Long Shot and not CFE.
Are you ordering the HP or the flat point? They list the flat point @ 1300fps also. That makes it the only fmj higher than the Sig ammo at that price point ( that I'm aware of). I'm thinking of ordering a couple hundred rounds myself
He told me both are loaded to the same specification. I could use more FMJ's for range sessions as opposed to defensive rounds.
500 for $185 in Starline brass isn't too shabby if it really hits near 1300 FPS!

I am interested. ;D
I placed an order for the 10mm FMJ and .357 Magnum. Let's see if it hits the numbers!
I received my order today. They get a couple of points for the cool tri-fold ammo boxes and fast shipping. I will need to take a few points off for the .357 ammos I received.
It is loaded in new Starline and looks like possibly a Montana bullet.

Looks like the old chronograph is about to get some exercise!
Shoota-Palooza ;D
I received mine yesterday as well. Ordered Tues and it shipped same day and it was delivered Wednesday.
I ordered the 250 rd bulk pack which came loose in a plastic bag. I shot 50 rounds of it this morning through my limited and stock I. I don't have a chronograph, but comparing it to the Sig fmj it felt like it had a little more pop to it. It shot flawless through the limited, but it appears to have extremely hard primers as it had 2 separate failures to fire on the first pull with the stock I. A second pull and they.both fired. I read about this happening in light sprung competition guns, but I was very surprised this happened in a gun that I have put a 18lb hammer spring in.
I'm anxious to see chronograph numbers for this.
I am too and thanks for that report! If it felt stronger than Sig rounds that says something.
Not as big a felt difference as it is between the Sig and S&B , but I'm confident it wasn't my imagination that it was a little more stout than the Sig. Mine is the same lot number as yours as well.
Gotta figure out the primer issue.
I keep my pistols stock. Never any issues with primers.
With a heavier than stock hammer spring mine hits harder than stock and definitely should not have that issue. It could be a combination of hard primers and seating depth. I will be shooting more tommorw with some of my other Tanfo's. Before today the only time I have ever had a light strike with anything was a $200 Taurus revolver.
This was the shocker of today's shooting. Really stout and probably a little tough on the hands if doing a long session. Almost a tie between these and Buffalo Bore for strongest 180's ever recorded.
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1354, 1359, 1334, 1344, 1347. Average 1347.6 FPS/ 726 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1388, 1404, 1385. 1398, 1391. Average 1393.2 FPS/ 776 LBS
I ran the Sig Sauer 180's with them.
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1220, 1239. Average 1229.5 FPS/ 604 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1257, 1274. Average 1265.5 FPS/ 640 LBS
Wow. Any signs of overpressure?
I will have to look at the brass and see if anything is there. My pistols also gave primer hits that didn't set them off. I'm sharing what I have with Fenix about everything.
I was told they use Long Shot for the powder. Probably a decent amount!
Sounds like it! 8)
Fenix took the lot number and said they would look into the primer issue. They are changing to Federal primers though now that they are more readily available.
Primers that didn't pop

Those from Fenix Ammo didn't go bang? That's not cool! Have you cleaned the firing pin channel lately?
I have to wonder if those casing are short and moved forward with the primer strike...
Putting them in the mail to you tomorrow with the other rounds for pull-down. Hopefully it turns up something!
I'll be on the look out to see what's what! 8)
