Title: Kriss Vector Carbine in 10MM
Post by: Ramjet on November 17 2017 06:43:31 PM MST
Well I recieved my carbine today. Unfortunately it was close to dark when I got home I was able to run one mag of 200 grain WFN GC cast load of over some Power Pistol. I can say this the carbine is unusual looking but is everything they advertise. Muzzle rise nonexistent decent accuracy. I mounted an ultra dot still need to sight it in. But I am very impressed so far. Range report after deer season.

Had some additional time with the Kriss. I shot some 180 grain hand loads Gold Dot pull downs and using the Ultra Dot I mounted it ran really well. Muzzle rise non existent and accuracy was good at 40 yards offhand ran about 4". I loaded some 200 grain WFN GC from an Accurate mould loaded over a max load of Power Pistol these really shoot fantastic. Extremely accurate shooting just over 2.5" at 50 yards. This gun is everything it advertised as I will get some comparative data on velocity after deer hunting is over. But this gun was worth the money.

How did your brass look?  Gives an idea of chamber support...

In a standard Glock BBl I would have the tell tale bulge from the Kriss it looked similar to the KKM after market barrel for my model 40. The chamber support is outstanding.

The more I run this weapon the more I like it the follow up shots are easily keeper in the same area as the original shot. As fast as I can pull the trigger nice groups and the accuracy is good. Might take this bad boy deer hunting tomorrow with the 200 WFN GC cast loads tomorrow.

Ramjet, I am new to the group and just posted that I just picked up a Kriss Vector 10mm yesterday.  I am glad to see that you like yours.  I was wondering if you know of any aftermarket mags for it that hold more than the standard Glock 15 rounders.  I have not searched the internet yet but since I was here I thought I would ask.

I would suggest going to Glock Store or or Glock Miester they may have mag extenders.

Several of us have converted the Kriss 45 ACP mag extensions to work with our G20 mags.  I have four that hold about 33 rounds.  There are a number of youtube videos about how to make these work.

It is not a drop in kit.  You have to take a file or dremel to the inside of the base of the G20 mag to relieve a ledge where it meets the extension, modify the mag spring wher it interfaces with the follower and modify the mag spring to be a bit narrower to fit in the G20 body at the top.  It sounds worse than it is.  I did all four of mine in about an hour.
