Title: Reloading Lehigh 140 grain controlled fracturing bullets?
Post by: Hamopr on October 28 2017 05:23:34 PM MDT
Anyone here ever using the Lehigh 140 grain controlled fracture round in your reloads? Just looking for comments and loading data.

I'm planning to start with beginning loads for 140 grain hp and work up from there unless someone has good data to share.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Thanks Shadow, never thought to look in that sub forum. Good information there.

Need to translate the Longshot powder load to AA#9 and then start low.

You're likely not going to get enough #9 in the case the copper bullets are longer for caliber and occupy more case capacity.  The #9 can also push the bullet back out if trying to compress it.
Good luck!

Looks like I'll need to pick up a pound of Longshot soon. Thanks Shadow.
