He was amorous with my 10mm, and wanted one of his own. So he shopped around and found a Gen3 with night sights in great condition. It's not the SF but he seems to love it. We shot some mixed ammo through it today, and I discovered for some reason, the full size curse still lingers on me. I can not shoot a 20 or 21 as good as I can a 29 or 30, it's not even close.
He had some of the new 200 grain Gold Dots that Speer is finally loading for the 10mm. So we decided to chrono 5 of them from 15 feet. Needless to say, I love Gold Dots, but these are quite mediocre.

I'm sure they'd still get the job done, but I wish someone would poke them in some jello.
The day was a success though, he is very happy. He was of course low and left for awhile, but we stopped to eat and I polished the trigger (his trigger felt like it was assembled from Emory boards), and after some more shooting he began to get it. By the time he stopped he had a feel for the trigger and was keeping them COM on the silhouette targets. Another happy Tupperware toter :D
PS: I didn't know he had those Gold Dots or I would have taken my 29 to chrono some through it. Unfortunately I was carrying the Glock 43 today.
Close to what Intercooler was getting with the same ammo... :( They need to be 1180 or 1200 fps.
I've got a friend at Underwood seeing if they can get components :D They don't have to push them to 1250 like the rest. Like you, I think 1200 from a 5" barrel would be great. That'd leave us Glock 29 guys with atleast 1100.
