Title: Sig 1911 mags
Post by: sqlbullet on September 06 2017 09:25:52 AM MDT
Anyone know if the Sig 1911 mags for 40/357 sig will fit a 10mm or if they have a removable block in them?

https://www.sigsauer.com/store/1911-8rd-40-auto-357sig-magazine.html

I am hoping the either work or can be made to work since at this price I ordered four.  I figure worst case I can wait till they are off sale here and then sell them.

Jackpot.

These are actually Wilson mags.  Same ones that midway has for 33.99.  I just ordered eight more.

Thanks for the link. Ordered a few for my RIA. Hopefully they lock the slide back on empty.

Side by side with a SR1911 10mm mag (Ruger on the left):

And comparing the followers, Ruger is silver on the right, Sig/Wilson is black on the left:

Same magazine at Midway:

So these are eight round magazines and they function with 10mm for $8.99?

I hear my credit card whimpering...

Great find SQL - thanks for coming back to let us know the feed 10mm too.

$9 Wilson Combat mags ... ok, at that price, 6 inbound (at the $ of two Tripp Cobras) to see how the Silverback likes'm.  I nearly ordered a dozen just to push the order to free shipping.

ETA:  Thanks also for the Midway link.  It was a convenient way to get the steel base pads for 5 of them.  I must judge their picture of the basepads - it is terrible. I won't know if these will make'm flush fits until they get here.  Evidently a picture of the part in even a partial profile was determined to be unnecessary.

Sig has been running some great deals lately.

I dropped another bill on them yesterday for 21 of the AR mags they are blowing out for $5 each.  I went 21 to get the free shipping.

Well my five magazines finally made it here.  I believe they may be defective. Eight round .40S&W magazines that hold nine 10mm cartridges?  Sumthin ain't right.  😁

I'm going to test them at the range tomorrow and they will probably work brilliantly since SIG is now showing them as "Out of Stock"   FWIW The normal price of $24 each isn't too shabby.

I did my part to make sure they were out of stock.  I think I have a total of 12 now.
