Don't know if any of our forum members were affected by Hurricane Harvey over the last few days as it has really made a serious mess over a large area to include areas of Louisiana. Knowing first hand the damage from wind and flooding can be we offer prayers for support and hope to getting their lives back together as they pick up the pieces and rebuild. :(
Yes prayers and donations. Show us gun guys care!
I gave $100 and my company donates an equal amount with Red Cross.
I have friends in south Texas and Louisiana -- some lost a little, some lost a lot --- prayers were already said days ago and keep going out to all those in need
Thanks for getting on the people-might-not-suck train named Harvey that pulled into town last Friday. I am in Houston and there was serious flooding on three sides of my home - I was spared, and I'm guessing JMB called in a favor on my account. No 1911s were lost.
I seriously have homes less than 1 mile from my house that flooded in 2015, 2016 and 2017 (yes, three consecutive years bringing 1000 year floods).
IMO, the real story is a City come together. It has been absolutely amazing seeing what average citizens can accomplish when we know we don't have time to wait. Serious shout out to the Cajun Navy (Cajun Search and Rescue). These guys showed up with their fan boats and a modern dispatch team while we all knew that Harvey was headed dump on their homes next.
Finally, it seems my Mayor might be among the best in the Nation. IMO, he's batting 1000.
So, although I'm not in need - I am more than willing to help you feel good. Feel free to send me all the 10mm ammo you can spare.
While the Texas people are still in our thoughts and prayers we must share these with all the victims of Hurricane Irma in the islands and now Florida as she unleashes her furry over the coming days... :(
