Title: 7" request to Ruger
Post by: SHOOT1SAM on July 05 2017 08:34:44 PM MDT
Below is what I emailed to Ruger today; I hope everyone on here will do the same:

"Thank you for finally chambering a pistol in 10mm!!  The SR-1911 10mm will be the next firearm I purchase.  Since it seems like everybody has finally seen the light with the 10mm, and since virtually everyone who chambers it is also chambering a 6" "hunting" version, I'd like to suggest that you NOT jump on that bandwagon, and give very serious consideration to building a 7" barreled version.  This will turn heads, and place Ruger at the forefront of innovation in 1911's."

Yes Sam that would be an interesting hunter model!  Hopefully they will listen.  ::)

Got this back from Ruger yesterday:

"Thank you for contacting Ruger Customer Service.
Your Customer Service Issue # is 1002XXXX

Wow. That would be a challenge, but interesting. Thanks.
Ruger Customer Service"

...Not a No.

Almost certainly a canned response with no meaning at all.

I think they are telling us we are lucky to have a 5 inch 1911 and be thankful for it.

Great effort though Sam.
