I loaded up some more 10mm rounds and took them to the range today for testing. I think I found the best mix for the current 10mm reloading supplies that I have on hand, which is Berry's 180gr RS and 6.7gr of Winchester WSF powder.
I had an issue with the chronograph recording the first 10 shot string, even though I was watching it display on the chrono screen for each shot. The last displayed velocity was 1052 fps for this recipe. Darned chronograph / phone recorded all of the other recipes, but their group sizes were worse than the first one which is very frustrating.
The group size at 25 yards was 4.21" which is the best I have seen with the Berry's bullets, which are undersized for the stock G20 Gen 4 barrel. I pushed one of these Berry's bullets thru my barrel and there was just a very small area on each lands grooves that showed contact.

Kind of what what I thought, that and the soft plating can skid along before it grabs to stabilize.

I wrote my initial info wrong, I should of said the groove area of the barrel (largest diameter) was the portion that had the very light contact. When I was re-reading what I wrote I realized my error.
They are a bit non-uniform. I've had better luck with Extreme-bullets. Hardly any fliers. With Berry's every whatever I'll get one that is way off group.

They are on my list to try, but right now I have a lot of Berry's to get thru.
I spent 30-45 minutes trying to take a picture of the bullet I pushed thru my barrel and I understand why I'm not in the photography business! :)). If I can figure out how to get a clear picture I'll post it later.
Problem with most plated bullets is the core, it's just too soft.
Hit the bang button and when the bullet engages the rifling it 'smears' a bit.
I've run plated pretty darn hard, but only in conventional rifling, and with mixed results.
I have seen the same form Berries. Switched to Extreme and first 500-100 seemed better. Now the last 500 where about the same. :(
They are accurate enough for my needs. 3Gun where 50' is a long pistol shot. but NOT ideal to say the least.
I found if I watch the flyers, I can buy name brand bullets, from American Reloading as "pulls" for near same cost as plated junk.
