Title: Bren Ten
Post by: WTucker999 on May 30 2017 08:18:22 PM MDT
Hey guys - I'm going to let my Bren Ten go, and would like some informed opinions on pricing.  The last consensus seems to be they are in the $3,000 - $3,500 range for a nice example  If there's nobody on here that's ready to invest in one, any feedback on the best place to list it would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Hendersonville, TN (NE of Nashville just a bit, kind of a suburb).  Lots of FFL holders here that will be willing to handle the transfer and shipping for a nominal fee.

This link should go to an album I just updated:

ps - "scratches" on the ejection port are brass marks.
Thanks in advance!
Bryan Tucker

Hey guys!  I sold it....but I'll leave the album links up for a bit, in case anyone wants to collect some photos.

Thanks!

Very nice looking Bren Ten, one of our members was looking to buy a few days ago, you may want to contact him.
mtaonefs post WTB   (I sent him an e-mail pointing him to your post)

Thanks! I appreciate it - I'd prefer to give the forum members a shot at it before it goes mainstream.

More information would be helpful. If this a verified shooter or non-shooting collector?

Not sure what other information you'd like - I have shot it, but it's not had more than 40-50 rounds through it.  Worked perfectly. IIRC it was some good hot Norma factory ammo - and my buddy and I were pretty amazed at how flat it shot...we were shooting a LOT of .45 ACP at the time.

Not the original owner...in fact, no longer the owner at all.  ;-)

Someone's going to have a brand new (to them) toy in a few days.

Cheers!

Never buy one without seeing it and having knowdge on a Bren Ten

You might be buying your most expensive paperweight ever !

There can be a lot of 'wrong' things with a Bren Ten

Of the 15 I saw . . . I skipped them all !

And a lot had pitting on the outside and inside of the slide

So I am really wonder how many of the 1500 produced Standard Bren Ten are still in shooting condition . . . .

Congratulations!

I really like them - I'm a fan of Colonel Cooper (RIP) and the old Gunsite.

Could have been yours that I bought but one hour away  . . . couldn't let that one escape !

Including 3 magazines and manual

According to the owner never fired and it looks like that

Yes, the Bren Ten is an interesting pistol and had it been made in today's world, utilizing CNC machines and quality steels, they would likely be strong as tanks and very functional pieces!

The originals that did come out of the D&D factory worked well as designed for 10mm, I too was lucky to have a working shooter.

Well good for them. One day I will score a shooter.
