Just got some of these once fired mixed cases from www.nereloading.com (http://www.nereloading.com)They seem to be as good as any I have seen. They were 35.00 per 250 count and I think that is a good price on used 10mm cases. I will try to reload and shoot some and report back. Craig
I probably wouldn't pay that much. Starline brass new 10mm is $162 for 1K shipped. That is only $22 more than what you paid. Just my .02 cents.
What he /\ said!
Besides, Starline line brass is a bit softer for reloaders so it lasts longer
Starline is my go to, though I have a few bags of Jagemann (seems like their brass is quite a bit harder, that may play a factor in my pressure testing).
On the hunt for new Federal, Winchester, anything else I can test...
:)
My main problem with 10mm is the brass is very hard for me to recover. I have tried to build nets and catching devices to no avail. I do agree that Starline is the best brass but when you shoot it it's gone or at leased half are gone. That's the main reason I was looking for sources for once fired brass for 10mm. I have tons of other calibers but never get 10mm from my friends at the range. :( Craig

I've been looking for used brass in 10MM and I found this thread. You're comparing the 1000 count starline price to the 250 count price at https://www.nereloading.com/index.php/10mm-fired-brass-250-count.html. Nereloading gives price breaks as you buy more, when you buy 500 from Ne at 35.00 per 250 its 70.00 delivered on starline its 98.50, a 28.50 difference, when you buy a thousand at NE its 110.00 vs starline 168.50, a 58.50 difference. If you buy 3500 used brass from NE it gets to 94.00 a K delivered, a difference of 74.50 per K vs starline. I just ordered 1000 used from NE since thats what I could afford.
If the are indeed FC, Speer, Winchester, or R-P then not a bad deal. Good way to get a small quantity to get you going. My experience is that a lot of 10mm range pickups tend to be PPU or A USA due to price point. I don't load those.
Hi
Could you give us an approximate count of each specific brand you received?
I purchased some .38 Special nickel brass, hoping to get a good number of +P cases, but wound up with about 80% being once fired R-P 38 SPL, a few misc. +P and the rest odd ball head stamps.

Same here, I don't load those, but I just can't seem to get rid of them! :o
Maybe I'll end up using them for mouse fart plinking loads.
What problems are there with PPU? Their 9mm loads properly.

The number I tried seem to be not malleable enough (doesn't hold shape, to springy ) after sizing and loosens up...that makes the taper holding the bullet loose which can lead to setback.
When loading , I use the push test... load bullet and measure then press against the workbench firmly... then measure again to make sure they keep their length. The PPU cases failed and I was able to push the bullet in.
You can see what tommac919 is referring to in this post I did
