Just picked up a Match Elite 220-10mm.
Haven't range tested yet, that will come prob this weekend.
First impression ... HEAVY ! it is about 40 oz unloaded, but it really feels well in the hand ( single stack btw ) like a 1911. Not at all chunky like a G20.
Gun in in DA/SA with pulls at just under 10 and 4.5 lb. Holds 8+1 in the mag. Has a spur like 1911's to get a good solid grip without getting slide nipped.
Very nice Hogue G10 Piranha grips too.
It has the Sig night sights ( tritium ) so should be ok in dark. Barrel has very good full case support, the best I've seen
DA trigger pull does need to smooth out tho the SA breaks fairly clean ( couple K of rounds it will feel prob much better )
Range time will really tell how much I like it.

I had come close to purchasing one of the SIG 220's chambered for 10mm...I'm trying to curb myself a little in my retirement years. ::)

I thought the same.. it took 13 months to get it at a normal price but the wife got it for me as a present :)
Who am I to say no... got to keep the wife happy.
And, I look at it as you can't take the money with you OR I'm spending my child's inheritance.. what ever works.
BTW, born mid April 2017
Didn't know they where still making the DA/SA version. I have one too. Its awesome but heavy and only 8 rounds
Got the same version.. less the nite sights. I like a heavy gun for shooting 10mm, just feels right to me.
I have no complaints with my Sig but for some reason its the last of my 10mm's I grab when going out to shoot.
But seeing yours I think I will dig it out and take it along this weekend!

They have , IIRR, only 3 models... 1 in DA/SA and the other two as SA only.
Never say no to presents! My Glock 29SF was a Christmas present from my wife. So I got her a Glock 43 for our anniversary.
My dad had one of these. I would be very tempted for a 227 model.
There have been rumors from the first day of release the a double stack would maybe come out... but nothing yet.
But , i guess the wife will have to buy me another present if that happens :)
I wish the SIG 320 would come in 10mm
Ha ha ha ha I thought sig had come out with a 220 grain bullet for their ammo line ha ha Ha ha ha
Range report...
Shot this morning about 250 rounds , not one failure of any kind.
The only very little minor complaint was the brass putting little scuff marks at the rear of ejection port. ( brass holding on and hitting back a bit, common )
I tried every brand I had , 50 box of D T hunter- nosler, Remington (weak ) fmj, Sig's nice fmj, and 100 reloads of Xtreme plated ... all 180 heads.
Once I got use to the sights, which required direct aim ( instead of like lollipop ), did a slow 5 shot round, inside the 5 inch circle at 50ft. ( gun more than likely does better, but that's good for me )
Will say the extra weight helps the gun...thought my hand would be pounded, but not.
All cases came out to 426.5-427.5 when mic'ed so it's going to be easier reloading ( compared to glock at .431-.433 )
DA pull is a bit long and needs work, it's like a bit scratchy. SA is good , small take up but breaks clean.
G20 has lost it's top place in 10mm to me
Thanks for the range report. Looks like another solid gun.
If you want you G20 to gain back some "shine", carry the P220 for a few days. :D
Too true. Love the 220-10mm, but it gets heavy fast.
Yes, it heavy... Close to 10 oz or so more.
But I never intended to carry the Sig...I know the glock is a hammer and it does that well.
Also the round capacity is higher when in Va
On a side note, I tried the 8 round 45 acp 220 mags.... They worked fine ,no fails, and fit 9 rounds
The Sig 220-10 shoots like a laser too. Awesome gun.

Definitely. Since I acquired my Sig 220 SA, the G20 doesn't get picked up too much anymore. The G20 was fitted with a Barsto and shoots very accurately, but even with the reduced capacity of the 220, its my favorite 10mm to date.
The first batch of Emperor Scorpions just popped-up on Gunbroker...

Anything different (besides the color) in the SA/DA ?

I can't seem to find any detail.
Yes, I looked at that last night. Seems to be just the color as far as I can tell.
Good seeing so many of these on here! My P220 came yesterday! Got the two-tone one too. I like it better then the Dark Earth. Only got to put 52 rounds (not very hot ones, that will be next visit) through it at lunch today! Like it better then my RIA's! Only gripe, trigger needs to get better! When it matches my P227 I'll be VERY happy! Otherwise, this thing is BUILT! SOLID!
I did get a P220 45 10 round mag and tried it! Worked perfect EXCEPT when inserted, slide didn't release (sling-shot) until I gave it (mag) a smack. So know this mag needs to be driven home. Also the two original mags drag (tight) when inserting/removing. Hope they loosen up and start dropping out!

I've held the 8 rd 45acp mag up to the 10mm mag and the only diff I noted is the follower is slightly diff. All dimensions seem the same.
I've had no mag sticking issues with any of the mags ( 45 or 10 )...currently almost 1k rounds of mix brands and not one failure

Same here, at least 1k though my .45 mags, maybe more. Not one issue.
Yep, even the 10 round1 .45 acp 220 mags work... :) Believe i got 11 10mm in them, can't remember.
