I recently purchased a G20SF and I'm about to start hand loading for it. from what ive seen Glock barrels tend to be rough on brass so I may be replacing the barrel. the question is, what barrel should I pick? ive seen a few threads on this topic when I did a search but these threads were 3+ years old and things change.
what are the current top three makers of aftermarket Glock 20 barrels? why?
thank you!

Yes, the stock barrel is a bit harder on brass re expansion due to the looseness of the chamber area....
But I can say in reloading, 95% of my starline brass under normal resizing will fit in a go-no go gauge when checked.
BTW, Shooting mid warm level target rounds with 10.2 of Bdot/180 head
( the small amount that don't go into a separate bucket to shoot and then get a full length resize after when I collect enough )
All the brass after regular sizing will work again in the stock glock barrel
For me, the stock barrel really isn't an issue
KKM Precision.
Very high quality and won't break the bank.
I have one on my 20sf and had one on my 17 (while i owned it).
When reloading I make sure that my rounds will pass a test thru the case gauge. Because of that, I have never had a single feed issue with the KKM, I don't need the looser stock barrel.
my $0.02
I have had a KKM 5 inch barrel for my Gen 4 G20 for over 3 years now (2013), and at first it would FTF (Fail to Feed) every ONCE in a while; however, I contacted them and they had me send it back for Mods. Apparently you have to INFORM them that you intend on using the HEAVY ammo (Underwood, Buffalo Bore, Double Tap) and they modify the bullets Chamber (I don't know what you call the area that houses the round). Once I got it back, it NEVER done it again. I can attest a decent difference with my shooting skills once I got the KKM barrel.
I had them make me the threaded version (5 inch) for the Muzzle Brake (Suppressor) and it just overhangs just a little. GREAT BARREL, GREAT IMPROVEMENT!!! I recommend them; however, make sure you them that you intend on using the HEAVY AMMO from the big three (Underwood is BEST, Buffalo Bore is second, and Double Tap is THIRD), so they can mod the round (bullet) housing for the heavy loads. The clearance is MUCH tighter than the stock Glock barrel by far. ;D ;D ;D
KKM
BarSto
Storm Lake
EFK Firedragon
Stay away from lonewolf they are all junk, even the new alpha series.

Why are they junk????
I used a KKM 6 inch barrel in my G20 which now resides in my G40. I sold my G20 to a coworker who wanted it. The KKM barrel is well finished and easy to clean. I would buy another one without hesitation.
I've handloaded 200 grain WFNGCs from DoubleTap and Beartooth and now WFNPB hardcast bullets from Montana Bullet Works. I ended up seating them to 1.240 to get them to fit in the magazines of all three of my 10mms. The hardcast wouldn't fit in any of my 10mm chambers when sized to .402. No problems when sized to .401. I'm running the aforementioned G40 with a KKM barrel, a Dan Wesson Bruin and an STI Perfect 10.
I put a Storm Lake in a G29SF, reliable, handles hot loads & is easy on brass. :D

My story is pretty much the same. If there is a real difference in brass life I have not seen it. No doubt it is true but subtle IME.
But then there is the other issue of accuracy. Just yesterday I was testing a new practice load for a G22 with OEM barrel. Once I settled in I was getting 4" 50 yard groups consistently. My norm is about 6" 5 shot groups at 50 yards so it was a good day in any case. My G19 OEM bbl with 124gr +P+ Gold Dots will shoot 8" groups (though I usually cannot) at 100 yards. But put a 165gr Gold Dot in my G29 with OEM bbl and it gives 8" groups at 25 yards. Yet with the Montana 200gr bullet it will do 5" at 50 yards. If I switch out the barrel on the G29 to a Storm Lake or KKM, it shoots everything quite well and accurately.
Soooooo... My experience is that and OEM barrel may serve you just as well as the most expensive aftermarket barrel. In G29, G20 and G40 the lubed Montana hard cast 200 gr bullet shows no significant difference with OEM, KKM, or Storm Lake barrel. Unless you are a really great shot I would guess that you will see an accuracy improvement 1/3 of the time going from OEM to aftermarket. If you are a great shot I would guess you will see an accuracy improvement 2/3 of the time going from OEM to aftermarket. That includes 9 mm, 40, 10mm and 45 and 100% of my experience is in Glock's.
I have zero experience with Lone Wolf or Bar Sto barrels. And while I cannot see any effective difference between KKM, Storm Lake or EFK.... KKM is my first choice.
Well in the conversion barrels use I have several LWD chambered for 357Sig and 9x25Dillon...no complaints or issues.
Recently picked up two LWD barrels used, one in 10mm and one for 40S&W for the G-20...also no complaints.
Have two Storm Lake barrels no issues for G-29...great barrels as well.
I have some Bar-Sto barrels for my S&W1006 40S&W and 9x25Dillon both of these were match grade and required fitting and the 9x25 required final chamber reaming. Wish Bar-Sto would make more of them for the 10xx series pistols.

Lone Wolf has a lifetime warranty, but it is useless because they don't really honor it. I sent a slide back to them because stock Glock striker parts wouldn't fit. They sent it back claiming it was within spec. It might have been within Lone Wolf specs, but it wasn't within Glock specs.
