I contacted them about what was found. It appears they had a 200gr XTP bullet loaded on there. It's highly unlikely I mixed it up with any other 200gr XTP because basically I only had one other box and the charge was 7.8gr's. WTH!
Is this a load The_Shadow is disecting?
Yea. He tore it down and found a 200 XTP bullet. I then weighed what I have here and got 284gr's total.
What name is The_Shadow refering to the GAS ammo load as?

Got it. I was thinking it was a different one already posted elsewhere.
Was it 7.6 or 7.8? Scale shows 7.6
It was 7.8...The other picture the scale drifted before the picture was snapped. Picture was replaced to reflect the weight.
When pasting into the post here all the punctuations have to be correct to the fonts of this forum or things will not post.

I scanned over that sheet and THE ONLY other 200gr I ever tested other than the recent PBR's was Kevin's. We know it isn't those so GAS Ammo has some explaining to do!
So 200gr with that charge look about right?

Without knowing for sure what the powder is, you don't know. It looks similar to Power Pistol, but could be others.
Yondering, This one I have NO Doubts and I'm positive it is Power Pistol because of side by side comparison & I load and shoot 8.0 grains under the hornady 200 XTP, 1180-1200 fps from the S&W 1006 5" barrel. ;D
I got an average of 1143. Sound right? I went back and changed the sheet to 200gr's. Hopefully I get a GAS Ammo reply soon or I will call :D
Well they get their ammo from a maker. They were shocked and offered to replace it but I see no point.
That explains the lower velocity...heavy hitter! You were looking to get results for 180gr. when the bullets were actually 200gr. You would not have known any difference, had we not taken it apart to see what was inside! Live and learn! ;D
I'm still hoping to get someone to post more powder pictures for the Winchester powders to help ID the UW 9mm offering!
That is difficult to swallow. It is what it is though. Still, the miscommunication or whatever...wow.
Here is the picture the day I got the box. Same baby but I guess the 200's are better to have anyway.
Can you ID that XTP in the picture?

Sure looks like it, the one I pulled I placed right next to a brand new out of the box Hornady 200XTP. The measured the length of GAS bullet, then without adjusting the calipers the Hornady slid snuggly between the blades @ 0.6780" although some of the 200XTP's go 0.6800".
I think in this case I did better having the 200 XTP's yes?
From what sense?
Now knowing the 200gr bullet was used certainly does make the velocities you achieved make more sense.
