Title: Favorite factory ammo brass?
Post by: BillinOregon on February 03 2017 10:28:04 AM MST
I have some new Starline on the loading bench, but need to buy a couple of boxes of factory ammo and was wondering if there are brands to seek out and brands to avoid in terms of the reloadability of the fired brass. I know there have been complaints about PPU.

It depends on what you want the ammo to do...Self Defense? Target? Hunting?
Finding the ammo may be your issue...
Underwood, Double Tap, Ted Nugent (as loaded by Double Tap), Federal

Shadow, I'm just talking a couple of boxes of blasting ammo to break in my M40 and generate another hundred durable cases to reload -- Remington, Winchester, SIG, Federal.

Sig brass should be up to task. Maybe S&B or probably best is PBR loaded in Starling (Premium).

Parabellum Research (PBR), Georgia Arms (bulk), Remington if you can find it in 50 round boxes
