At 1300+ fps it seems to push right to the velocity envelope of the bullet.

It is very close to what I hand load when I carry the G20.  I believe that it us close to the ultimate in the G20 as far as bullet performance is concerned.  The GD 165 pushed hard makes a great 10mm choice.

One thing I will say is I don't get as wound up about a bullet loosing a pedal or two, or even the core separating 8" or more into the media.  I might feel differently if I was the doctor that had to put Humpty back together again, but if the core makes the 12"-16" I really couldn't care less.  Some say bullet failure, I say the dude HAS to go to the hospital if the core passes through a non-vital region.

The results are similar to other tests I've seen for the 165g Gold Dot.  I remain comfortable with my 10mm defense load.

Agree about losing a petal or two. The bullet didn't disintegrate, it just expanded to it's maximum point.
