Title: My line of thinking
Post by: Overkill338 on January 22 2017 04:29:29 PM MST
I'm carrying and been shooting Critical Duty in my 29SF and shoots amazingly well. Accurate and consistent. 5 shot average was 1087 and this box was advertised at 1150 fps. I was going to move up to Underwood 200gr Noslers for self defense, but ive been told several times that the velocity I'm pushing  is more than enough for two legged baddies..

Im starting GSSF for the first time this year, and plan on shooting matches with Sellor & Bellot which has similar advertised speeds to my SD ammo and should chrono about the same. That and the recoil should be a good match too, so it should make me more proficient with my Ccw and my carry ammo.

So is my line of thinking about right, or should I go ahead and step up to the 200 Underwoods?

I am using the Delta Elite Load (NOSLER) from Underwood in a G20 Gen3 stock set up. Plenty enough for social work. 1240 fps
