Title: Beware of Gunbroker for 10mm right now
Post by: Pablo on December 18 2016 05:02:48 PM MST
Just for the new guys. Public service announcement. Your mileage may vary.  ;D

Wow crazy high price warning. Maybe it's always like this, but what a rip.

Sorry about that. Carry on.

I guess I got lucky a few weeks ago with a G29SF gen3 NIB for $480+shipping.
I'd love to snag a G40 but I'll have to stew on that for a few months.

I was only referring to 10mm ammunition. Plenty of gun deals to be had still. In that respect I LOVE GUNBROKER.

But Armscor and PPU and the like for $26/box?

Oops, didn't realize you were alking ammo, I reload it so all is good on that end. I did pick up some really nice once fired mixed head space cases off Gunbroker for what I thought was a decent price, stuff looked brand new.

Yeah I kept it in the Factory 10mm ammo section. I also reload - hot loads mostly. But S&B 10mm for $14.87/50 isn't insane for plinking ammo and especially the new folks shouldn't be paying $25/50 for it!

If you are going to gunbroker, get an account and use advanced search to check closed auctions that have actually had  bids with no reserve.  Gives you a good idea what the market really is, and not what people are dreaming of getting.

Truth!

As I stated for newbies, don't be that fish they are waiting for.

I have full confidence in the Delta now, for full power factory ammo. If I am gonna load hot, it will only be with new brass(heck, cant find the majority of brass fired from it anyway). So I do appreciate some cheap target practice loads. Thanks.

OMG that's a deal!  I paid $515 +tax for my 29sf.

I just stumbled on the auction by accident with about 1 day left, Max bid of $500 placed and I didn't figure I'd even get it for that, but nobody else bid and bingo.

As I commented on another thread, someone fat-fingered the velocity into an energy calculator.  743 is the energy of a 180 grain at 1364 fps, not 1164 fps.
