Nice. Now they just need to do it in 10mm....

I'm mixed on that. I think keep the auto in pistols. Just kind of not the same as running 10mm through my autos!

Well, considering I have a S&W 625 in .45acp and a 986 in 9mm, I'm kinda a sucker for moon-clip revolvers. And you can load 40/10 way down to powder-puff levels for teaching my nieces to shoot.

That and I can't afford a pre-lock 610.....

If I was set-up to reload .44 spl, I'd be throwing money at my local gun-pusher already. That's a sweet revolver.

When the S&W 696's came out I thought that that is just what I wanted.  They are a very nice pistol and I shot it quite a bit.

My only trouble with it is it seems to leave me wanting a little  'more'.

Just at that time Smith made another run of 44 Mag Mountain Guns and that satisfied my longing.  The Magnum Mountain gun is still one of my favorites.

I agree!

When hiking in the mountains of NM I was always at peace with my Mountain Gun on my hip. Especially since I have come across bears before and a wolf once.  Fortunately those particular animals seemed more afraid of me than me of them. But it's nice having some insurance with ya!

I have a 3" barreled 1991 vintage Charter Arms Bulldog. in .44 S&W Special. It disappears under a sportcoat. With five quick Lehigh Extreme Defender loads, well... you know. I like the new Ruger. The .44 Special is 110 years old this year and it still outperforms modern cartridges.

This revolver is excellent for kicking about in Black Bear country (right outside of town where I live). Ruger has a winner on its hands. It's so good, I could just "eat it up".

Will someone please pass the Maple syrup? ;)

I love the 44 special Round
I shoot it quite a bit in my Redhawk
Low, smooth recoil
Very accurate at 50 yrds

I load 44mag cases to 44special specs for SAS in my 44mag Vaquero. Very accurate with home cast 200gr RNFP, and very cheap to shoot. Made me a fan of 44 special. I would like to get a dedicated little revolver like that.
