Title: Freedom Munitions
Post by: jbaker30 on November 30 2016 10:59:11 AM MST
Anyone used Freedom Munitions new 180gr RNFP @1120FPS? Prices seem reasonable if the ammo is good. First order is free shipping, so figure $89 for 250 rounds, about 36 cents a round.

They are using the faster burning powders in their offerings like WSF, 231, TightGroup...That in and of itself is not a problem except  that the brass will be expanded faster which can cause splits sometimes.

Thanks Shadow, I figured I'd give it a try as range ammo. I'll let you guys know how it performs.

Yes, I've put several hundred rounds through my Witness P-Carry. It's an excellent round for the range.

I have used them. Good range ammo and always went bang as they say. My Mrs. and I have shot thousands of rounds of F/M ammo over the years, but the 10mm stuff is new.

I also needed some cases to be able to reload it!  ;D

Forget the freedom munitions 3weeks no ammo. Said they were behind in shipping and couldn't give me a date. Cancelled order and bought 250 Sellier & Bellot 180gr FMJ for $84.10 shipped from Bud's. Hopefully they will be here in a timely fashion. I've dealt with Bud's before and no complaints. Never used the S&B before either.

I think you'll find the S&B more than satisfactory.

The S&B is about the lowest cost bang for the buck currently. I would say for sure better than Freedom.

Price is high for what it is. I've had no issues with Freedom, but $17.80/box is two bucks at least too high per box.

I ordered 8 boxes of these the week after I picked up my Gen 4 G20.
I have gone through 200 rounds of them at the range and have had no issues.
I thought the price was fair enough and they were delivered to my door quickly enough.
