Thanks for posting this Shadow! :) I enjoyed going over that brochure.
Sure brings back memory's to me via pictures in my mind. I had my order in through a dealer that was an hour away. Super nice guy that sold everything for a fair price. He never tried to get rich off of every single deal. He ended up dying at a relatively young age shortly after my order was in. Then I had to get all of my Perigrene information from normal media channels, i. e., gun rags.
Just remembered, thanks to you, that I bought one of Bren Ten Special Forces Lights from him! It was two grand! :o In 1991 Standard Brens were going for $800-1000 in my neck of the woods. I had never seen a SF before, and I might not ever again, so I overpaid dearly at the time. Of course, now I am very glad that I made such a crazy decision back then. :)
I posted this just to help preserve the history, I had got this from the web and saved onto it for the nostalgia. The production of these guns also had a curse following them....that seemed to follow VLTOR's attempt as well.
The only Bren Ten SM in my area, was owned by a fellow near Baton Rouge, LA. He popped on the local forum with it in a post and I complimented him on the gun and even mentioned about getting together possible to see it and if he ever sold it, I'd be interested. I had introduced him to the Bren Ten Forum at the time. Chatted with him about magnaflux, and he sort of disappeared for awhile. Then almost 2 years later, I'm reading through the our local forum guns for sale section and he has it listed for sale. I smoked my keyboard, typing to find out about a possible purchase, and actually made an acceptable deal. He actually met me to complete the sale, which happened to be on Don Johnson's birthday.
Glad you were able snag one those beauties! :)
