It really illustrates the difficulty in suppressing a super-sonic round.  I am sure at the range the noise reduction is nice, but as long as the bullet is above 900 fps or so, you get some pretty cool sonic boom.

yeah slower it goes the better it sounds.  smaller hole helps too.   ie. 9mm vs 45.
