Title: Mounting a Red Dot on SigP220
Post by: Sneed on October 28 2016 11:05:43 AM MDT
Hello to all. I'm looking to put a red dot, Leupold Deltapoint or something comparable, on a Sig P220. It's not drilled & tapped but there is a slot for the rear sight that Leupold makes a mount for that would fit its Deltapoint. Previously it has been said somewhere here that slot mounts are only good for competition or the range but not for edc. I'd very much like to hear from anyone who has used the Leupold mount & Deltapoint with their experiences. Sneed

Do you have 10mm 220?
If so, which model?
SAO or DA/SA
If 45 model, which one?
Lots of variations on the 220.

I'm sure that a competent gunsmith that specializes in milling slides would be your best bet. I think the extra expense would be worth it.
