Interesting. Details on what, when, where, etc? I've only seen the style on the right in both loaded ammunition and loading component.

Agree the bullet on the right looks like Gold Dot. I just acquired a case of .45 GD and it looks just like that.

I checked another box of 180gr Gold Dots and it looked the same as pictured on the right.

So what is on the left? I looked at the Speer website and they show a short barrel 180gr Gold Dot but no picture! Could it be?

I also know in some calibers their is a Law Enforcement bullet type. Could it be?

I remember when I spoke to the owner when placing my order he told me these were Gold Dots. Maybe not but they did 15" and .700" expansion in Gel at 10mm speed without negative effects (see pic): http://atomicammunition.com/10mm.html

So hard to ID bullets. Since the MFG's don't really give you the info someone needs to work on a collection. I have to look now for the Underwood 180gr or other GD video.

The one one the left not GD...Atomic is either making those bullets or buy from and outside sorce.

Berry's is about to release their own plated HP bullets very soon...http://www.berrysmfg.com/products-c117-New_Hollow_Points.aspx (http://www.berrysmfg.com/products-c117-New_Hollow_Points.aspx)

Could it be the short barrel or LE version?

My thoughts on HP's is bigger cavity don't hold up at high speed. That Golden Saber will be interesting to see.

Just went to Cabelas for the first time ever. There on the shelf was a box. They are Hex.
