Leave the rifle home you will have success and the sense of accomplishment is a real rush.  :D

I agree. I have taken several nice WI Bucks and Doe's  and even hunted out of state in MN with my handguns, but I have also missed out on some good Bucks because I was using a handgun thats all part of it :(
And by that I mean a real handgun, not some single shot rifle that they call a handgun  :) The S&Ws that I used were .357 mag and .44 mag and they both did the job!! Now this year I will be taking my Kimber 10mm and hope to harvest a Deer.
And it is very rewarding since very few people do hunt with a REAL Handgun.

Ha had a 2011 Shelby farkles up to around 700 HP. Great car but was mortified to take it any where because folks would scratch it etc..  :o

Now stop with the divisive dissertation about Encore style handguns, they are handguns. For example if hunted with a Encore with 6" 44 mag barrel and open sights would that be more to your liking?

I am pulling your chain here......however we are small group of dedicated handgun hunters unless it has shoulder stock or barrel over 16" it is handgun. We all have great thing in common we pursue game with a handgun. It's fun !!!!!!!

Razor Dobbs recently took a big ole Buff with 10mm and BB ammo. Now that is very cool.

Yep thats getting up there in hp :) was that @ the rear wheels?? The Shelby GT- 500 are a blast to drive ,but man you really got to respect the power that they can put out, or it will come around and bite you in a heart beat!! don't ask me how I know. I plan on VMP doing a stage 3 this year @ Shelby Fest 2017.  And Im alright with what your saying about the TC pistols and the others like it, were good.

Handgun hunting makes you lazy ;D. As soon as you realize that you can use just a handgun and not tote all that weight into the woods....your rifle collection will stay at home a lot.

I have not used a rifle in deer season for the last twelve years unless it was something odd (M14 etc). I really like handgun hunting.

I have been hunting pigs mostly with my G40 and have killed two so far and will be back after them in January.

I will probably try the G40 on deer this year too.

I've got 2 deer with my contender. A little easier than the bow but harder than a rifle. No matter what I use I still get that feeling of accomplishment! As long as it's a one shot kill and the animal is recovered, thats what it's all about. Ethics are more important than implements.

Amen to that. If I rifle hunt I still carry a handgun close encounters I turn to the handgun.
