I'd been looking for a Commander sized 10mm for a while.
Called Up Keith at Dan Wesson and ordered this one back in February.
Tonight I got to pick it up.
Can't wait to get to the range.

That is a very nice looking gun if it shoots as well as it shoots you have a heck of nice 10MM.

That is exactly what I've been wanting. But, I thought that DW stopped making Commander sized 10mm pistols. I can't seem to find any on their website. Is this a special order that they will make for anyone?
Well, screw the protocol of introducing myself - THAT V10 is smexy! Get her dirty and report back.
I currently have a Silverback blem waiting impatiently for me to finish paying her dowery. Forgive this if you are a fixed sight sorta guy, but take a peek at what DW is doing with the sights on the silverback and the bruin. Good chance I will be sending the slide back to the mothership to get the Bruin sights installed - then the Silverback's sights will find a home navigating for a Rock 22 TCM.

The shop will accept custom orders ... sometimes. Call and inquire. It never hurts to shop your idea - getting Keith excited about a build might get your request accepted quickly. If I had the patience and the wallet, I would have ordered the Silverback blacked out with Bruin sights, a different trigger, and a more GI profiled thumb safety.
I have some fixed sights like this I bought on ebay a few years back for my P12-10mm that I haven't yet finished.
I contacted DW customer service and they gave me Keith's e-mail address. I sent him an e-mail inquiry and he responded quickly and asked what variety I wanted. I'm now waiting to hear back to see what the price range would be and how to place the order. This will be very cool if he can do the build. I'll be selling off a Kimber Stainless Pro Raptor .45 and a Sig P229 Stainless Elite .40 to fund this. It'll be worth it.
