Interesting. I will have to check one out in person when they become available. I have a polymer 10MM now so the newer ones would have to really impress me to buy one.

Well whats the big deal here ? last Sat I had to renew my MN permit for Carry& Concealed and I did that all day long @ 5, 7, and 10 yards with a all steel pistol, a Colt Combat Commander in .45. And for me it  was not to hard  to do as I had about 40 rds though one big raged hole.
The instuctor wanted me to shoot my Delta Elite but I said no since all I had on me was some hefty Bule Dot loads and they have quite the fire ball and are loud and with some new shooters and women on the line I thought best not to.
But after the class was done I took out the Colt Delta Elite and more then a few people liked it alot :) But I must also tell you that I shoot often in my back yard and almost all my pistol shooting is @ 20 or 25 yards and a 80 yard gong. I lke my warrior to be all steel thank you.

Back when I did my CCW in missouri, the instructor would get on you if during your qualification you were just producing one ragged hole and shooting any form of medium to slow rate. Which at the 7 yard requirement is very easy to do if you have had any real practice. Seriously, with a full size FBI silhouette, i'm not using the sights at all unless I am trying to pick a fly off the target.

He required you to shoot faster if you were keeping them on the target. That was the fastest I have burned through 50 rounds on my M&P 45c ever.  Even still I had a nice pattern just blowing through mags as fast as I could. For my revolver qualification portion, I just picked random spots on the silhouette and shot them out since I didn't have any speed loaders.

I am amazed at all the people at the indoor ranges down here that don't run the targets down any further than the minimum distance (5 yards). Some of the guys working for the range even look at me weird when I pull out a 45 shield and proceed to eat up a target at 25yds. They look at me like I have two heads and the manual says don't use this past 10yds.

There is no range down here which I am aware of that I can take my 44mag to and shoot 50yds without doing so on private property. All the 50/100's are rifle only. I have to go up north and shoot in Eastpoint or Missouri to do that.

Yes the the stages were timed and a couple stages you had to drop a mag and put a new one in. And then there was a couple stages that you shot one handed with your strong arm, and that was also timed. And your right you blow through the ammo quite fast, that's why I bought plenty to shoot afterwards. The way I told my instructor is if I can hit steel plates and milk jugs all day long @ 20- 25 yards this is a piece of cake.
My friend had a Browning High Power 9mm and I had a Colt XSE Combat Commander and we were the only 2 that had steel guns so we stood out from the rest of the crowd. All in all a fun time but I lost 50% of my 10mm brass as I was hitting cars and trucks in the parking lot so I had to move to were my brass was going in the high grass.

At 5 yards my target of choice out in the desert is a 12 gauge shotgun shell hull.  They are always laying all over the place at common shooting spots, so we just push them around.

Bruno, those shields sure are quite accurate for their size. My indoor range only goes to 52.5 feet is what the guy told me, but the .40 shield I'm shooting is just punching out the bullseye's. Triggers slightly heavy but for a cc gun it's actually about exactly how I'd want it.

Imagine what people would do if you did this? :))

Flinch with every shot?  Most people don't notice.

I think my match could do that with the right hand load.

First time I saw this movie I thought, "Riggs is awesome!"
Second time I saw it I thought, "Never let Riggs near me on a range."

I, for one, am pretty excited about the Polymer Match.  As long as it's reliable, it would fill the same niche as my 1911 10mm, but with more rounds/less weight for out hiking the desert hills.  When you're a dad of four, carrying the lunches of two five year olds, ounces count.  I'm hoping this one does what it is supposed to - I'll stave off a Glock purchase yet again.

I've always laughed with my friends over this scene.   Flinching like crazy!   Of course, we always tried to do the 'smiley' at the range anyway.   :)

It's on the site now and has some interesting features. If you like DA/SA, it should be in the $600 range and a good polymer buy.

I'm still in shock over the 18 round capacity. Really makes me want this for a hiking/woods gun.

Well, count me interested. Like to see one with a Wonderfinished or hard chrome top, but I like what I see. Guess it will weigh about 31 ounces.

I noticed that, too.  Sometimes it seems like EAA is just trying to make purchasing its products more difficult.  Next think you know they'll call this the "Edsel Match" or something like that.
