Title: Newbie
Post by: imijx on August 13 2016 06:46:00 PM MDT
Brandspankingnewbie here 1st time.  I've found Nirvana.  I am going to purchase my first 10mm and I need some guidance.  Long time shooter, 40+ years, and familiar with everything from 22LR to 45-70 in various handguns.  Right now I've pared down to a couple of 22's, a 9mm and a 38, mostly plinking and EDC.  I do have a S&W 44Magnum on hold, but I'm thinking going 10mm instead.  Just want to get something different that can be used for target, plinking, possibly hunting and EDC if needed.  So, the $64,000 question is, which 10mm do I get?
My eye is drawn to the following:
Sig P220 Hunter SAO
Dan Wesson Razorback
Dan Wesson Silverback
Maybe a DW Bruin (unique look to that one)
Any suggestions would be more than welcome.  Real world experience with any of the above would be extremely gracious.
Thanks!!

I have the DA/SA Sig, love it. Also have the 20 and 29 Glock and a Delta Elite and a RIA SA. They are all fun to shoot and a total blast. I don't think you'll have any complaints no matter what you choose, there really is no junk as far I am concerned. Enjoy!

Based on your list and the EDC comment, I would suggest that you look into a dan wesson silverback blem. The blems that Dan Wesson puts out would more often than not pass for perfect from pretty much any firearm maker.

I will say I love my sig though, and given that the Emperor Scorpion just made its first appearance, I am very keen to get one of those.

Dan Wesson 5" out of those options if you realistically want an EDC gun.  The Bruin and Sig Hunter are just too big.
