I bought a new witness in 10mm with a 3.8 barrel so far like my other witness's its great. My only issue is its going to cost a fortune to shoot. The think launchs the empty cases 25-30 feet and I lost 20 cases so far. Whats the trick to calming this thing do so it doesn't throw the cases so far.
Spring it and cut the ejector down.
Do you think that would work on my Sig 10mm too? It is a beast with the empties.
Are you referring to recoil springs? What is involved with cutting the ejector?
Thanks
Recoil spring and some change to a stronger hammer spring. I have a write-up in the Gunsmithing section on cutting the ejector down. It's best performed with a Dremel.
