Title: Talked to Sig Sauer factory today: basic lesson in supply vs. demand
Post by: Buckeye 50 on August 05 2016 02:30:27 PM MDT
I am looking for a particular Sig.  The factory rep. told me unless it is currently on a shelf somewhere, it could be a while as they are currently maxed-out of production, working 3 shifts/24 hrs. a day and can't even address the backlog let alone planned production.

This is what "excess demand" looks like, Hilary.................

Oh, I forgot - you went to law school, not business school.

I wouldn't doubt that at all.  I'm sure we'll see record numbers of firearm purchases from now until November.

I picked up a Sig 1911 TACOPS last summer when they were priced at a point I couldn't pass up.  Only 2 firearm purchases since that time.  Over the last 9-10 months I've been investing in mags, ammo and reloading components.
