Anyone tried this yet?
It's not really hardcast.
What is it ? I bought a box to check it out but have not picked it up yet
It's a FMJ in the boxes we have checked.

MT10mm can you do a pull down of one of those cartridges and photo the backend of the bullet please? If you're not comfortable doing so, would you consider sending one to The_Shadow to document? Would be nice to have these newer cast bullets in the pull down database as I recon the powder weight and type is not on file for this particular load.
I've contacted SelwayArmory and HSM about the false advertising/misprint by Selway below.

So far, Selway has remained silent. But Jamie from The Hunting Shack Inc (makers of the HSM ammo) has stated the following;
"It is a RNFP lead bullet without a Gas Check. We currently do not have a load in the 10mm that has a gas check on the bullet. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions."
So despite what Selway claims, until I see a photo of a gas check proving otherwise, I'm going with what the manufacturer says.
http://thehuntingshack.com/?page_id=25 (http://thehuntingshack.com/?page_id=25)
Page claims these new 10MM bear loads have,
No Gas Checks, 15 Brinell, doing 1041 fps, out of a 5" barrel, for 481 ft lbs
Question, with no gas check, is leading even an issue out of a good aftermarket barrel, especially considering these are not exactly loaded hot?
I don't see a need for a gas check either. my .45acp loads with a 200 gr. lsw hard cast bullet and 7.4 gr. of Unique chrono a little over 1000 fps and they don't lead my barrels.
I will send a few in to shadow for pull down if he has time. I'm going to shoot these today and will keep you post to what I think.
Take time to know her...it's not an overnight thing... MT10mm, Yes we will find some time if you send one.
Went out and did some shooting. Brought DT 200gr HC and HSM 200gr HC. Not sure this will prove anything but did shoot both rds into a seasoned round of Mountain Ash wood and here were the results. Rds were impacted about the same spot and did not interfere with each other. HSM on the left and DT on the right.

Both were fired 15rds with 0 issues in 3rd gen SF Glock 20 no mods.
Interesting looking bullet the HSM is, I think the lube groove in the right spot, but if they were powder painted I bet they would do better job of less leading i a Glock factory BBL. ;)
I have your address still from the last batch I sent you. I will get a few in the mail tomorrow.
Sounds great! :D
That Doubletap bullet isn't looking "too hard" :o
