Title: Update on the Parabellum Research Ammo deal from Anthony
Post by: Intercooler on November 01 2012 12:29:29 AM MDT
Just got an e-mail update and I'm excited as well to check the rest of it out. Here it is:

15k of 10mm showed up today, we'll be loading the ammo out to the following specs for our V-Supreme line,

10MM_V 155 FMJ G20   0.0 S&W1006   0.0 1400
10MM_V 165 FMJ G20 1342.5 221.5 S&W1006 1340.2 221.1 1350
10MM_V 180 FMJ G20 1302.2 234.4 S&W1006 1296.9 233.4 1300
10MM_V 200 FMJ G20 1249.7 249.9 S&W1006 1244.3 248.9 1250

Haven't worked out the 155gr loading yet and none of them are using 800-X, which I'm happy about from a production standpoint.

Okay the 155's got cut off somehow but if I had to guess in the 1400 FPS range.

That's impressive if the posted results actually carry over into production ammo.  Right on par with Underwood.  Time will tell.

I think it will. They use a G20 and 1006 to establish their ratings. Actually they put the test gun for every ammo type with power factor.

Well I'm a little moved the $21.30 deal didn't stay put on the 165's but looks like he added a few more for the choosing. I'm ordering this morning.

The Premium line has HP's which are pretty stout. I asked about have the V-Premium loads outfitted with HP's.

I ordered a mix since they are all in stock to test the remainder.

I guess I can't complain the loads are higher than the 1300 FPS 165's he was offering.

Guess the guys at HPR totally discounted what I told them about pricing their ammo out of the 10mm game. They are listed cheapest on CheaperThanDirt for $28.83 for 180gr FMJ. That's $5.93/box more than PBR and $3.83 more than Kevin's 180's. Makes you wonder who is buying their stuff at that price now!

Top three now for full power plinking (to the best of my knowledge) unless I overlooked a full power. Armscor was until BVAC changed the loading.

1- Thunderbird Cartridge (Reloaded brass) $19.50/box
2- PBR Ammo $22.90/box
3- Underwood Ammo $25.00/box
4- HPR Ammo $28.83/box

How many boxes? It pays to get a bulk like other sites.

Texas to the East Coast is going to cost a bit. People West of the Mississippi will do good I would imagine. Underwood on the 5% off deal may fair better here on the East Coast. Another option and if you don't trust or don't want 800-X of Underwood.

I will make sure when my order arrives next week and I get it tested to send a couple to the Powderologist for a tear-down. We need a new ammo to micro inspect  8)
