Honestly, stirring the pot here, cause we all know until the media blackout on third party candidates ends, they will never have a genuine shot.
But seriously, look at his platform, and post what you dislike or love about him. I'll be voting for him. I only hope that my casting a vote for a third party continues to give steam to ending the two party system we are stuck and in reality forced into.
I am considering him, if Hillary talks about banning guns I will vote for him.
Trump will never get my vote.
Hillary thanks you for your votes.
Philosophically the only wasted vote is the one that is not cast for your ideology.
But, this only works if the republic is truly defending our basic rights. Since the republic is not doing that, and one of our fundamental rights is at risk, I have to agree with Blaster. However disagreeable I find Trump, however bad I think he will be in every other way, he does currently at least give lip service to my rights to life and the defense thereof.
1. We became a Democratic Republic with direct vote for senator. The only part of the Republic is the Electoral College which is now very favorable to Democrats.
2. Lip Service is fine for primaries. But in the debates its going to be hard for Trump. He says he wants to declare war with ISIL and that his plan calls for very little boots on the ground. But the reality is that Trump once again shot himself in the foot. The Democrats are going to Swiftboat him big time. A draft dodger is going to send your kid off to die while his kids live in a penthouse apartment safe and sound.
No one wants war.
Trump is doomed, and the Democrats have not even started on him yet.
I will say, after all the past and recent things that the "SYSTEM" has to offer, like corrupted politicians, failed justice system, oppressive government greed and overreach to power and control, not to mention a compromised voting process...it becomes a harder choice to make in the effort to break this cycle to still preserve what is left of the American way to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
My vote is going to Trump, he may not be perfect, but because he has put forth the effort, to do what it takes to undo and change things that will make a difference in Making America Great Again!

In the primary Trump singled out the perceived leader at the time, and concentrated his attacks on that one person until he ran them out.
I thought he would have trouble with Ted Cruz as they appealed some what to the same type of voters as both being outsiders. Trump took him out easily.
I think that Trump will be Clinton's worst nightmare. She has nothing to run on but her experience and the results of her experience are easily attacked.
Comey laid out the perfect case against her and then refused to prosecute. The liberal hacks on MSNBC were even flabbergasted.
The truth is, we demote or fire federal employees but never prosecute them.
I agree with Shadow, the lesser of two evils.
America has never been stronger, richer or greater.
Some just want a rich white guy in power.
Debates are going to make Trump look like a fool when facts come out. After all he is the only candidate under investigation. The IRS is investigating him for tax evasion, NYS for fraud with Trump U.
And soon,,,,,,bribing 2 AG's.
Wolfie I call Bull$h!t! You must be on government subsidies! Because shortly after this POS Obummer and Obummer care took affect my paid for health insurance changed for a mere $333 per month to over $1100 with higher deductibles and higher out of pocket devaluing. The fuel prices skyrocketed in his early years, which caused everything to price adjust higher to compensate and have only recently started to come down slightly due to lower fuel prices for this election cycle to make himself look good. His goal was to make people even poorer so they would become even more dependant on the socialism type of communism till his Islamic brotherhood could take a stand.
BTW, the color of his skin has nothing to do with my hatred of the acts this POTUS has done to destroy this country! A chimpanzee could have done just as well if not a better job... He continues to pave a path to allow Sharia Law (rubs against all of the established laws of the American people) and flood the country with infiltrators! All the while trying every end around tactic to remove the secondment rights here that protect everything else for a government he is trying to dictate. Killary if elected would be an extension of devastation to the last 8 years of stagnated progress and growth because we are being sold out to the "New World Order as the economic collapse looms in the balance of world bank's falter.
At least Trump has enough sense to create, implement, run a business, while putting people in position to work to make it successful! I place more trust in his abilities to run the country as a business to bring back a sense of pride for the people to be empowered in the process of "Making America Great Again!"
On the short note, while Gary Johnson maybe a good candidate, his platform is not known to enough people to seriously gain a majority of voters. More of a distraction or even a place that could be a rigged vote... ::)

You must work for the government is all I can say.
Shadow I will not counter your health insurance as you are the one that pays it. As for mine I was paying $10,000 a year for a family plan in 2000. It went up to $19,000 in Bush's last year and now its a shade under $22,000 with much better benefits.
As for gas prices this was mentioned by Romney at the 2012 presidential debates. Obama slammed him and Romey and the GOP remained quiet on it for the rest of the cycle. Prices were the highest ever under Bush and collapsed when the REPUBLICAN Great Recession hit. As the economy grew the prices went up until alternatives went online and prices went back down. But I also agree that politics will take it lower, under 2 bucks a gallon.
This country has the strongest military in the world and is the most wealthy. Whats Trumps plan to make it great again when its already great?
The only thing I see is that the racists want a white man in power, and guess what, its their right to do so at the ballot box, but check this out. Obama only won 38% of the white vote, Hillary is over 40% and these are polls that have Trump winning.
Do the math.....
:)) :)) :)) :)) :))

Dems want "identity politics" and set old from young, men from women, black from white, rich from poor and on and on. I'm not saying all politicians don't do the same, but the degree isn't the same.
My choices left the race early on. Want to claim I'm racist, my first choice in both this and prior primaries happened to be black. I didn't choose them because they were black, it wasn't because of guilt, it was simply I felt they were good people and wanted smaller, more accountable government that served the people.
Labeling folks racist time and time again makes the phrase mean less and less as time goes on. Same with sexist, same with intolerant to sexual orientation. The goal is to shut off debate they cannot win. They teach guilt in school now. For the same reason.
How about you call me anything you like. I won't give a rip. Simple reason, I don't care. Your judgement doesn't control me, doesn't change me, and I believe it comes from a desire to see others at a lower status than yourself. More likely to look at you with pity than anger.
Greg
Democrats have been doing identity politics since the birth of this nation. If you are Irish, Scottish, Jew, German, Eastern European or Italian and you vote GOP you spit on your ancestors graves. The nativists back then treated your kin worse than blacks.
Now some in these groups and forums have become the nativist.
My own humble opinion...
The dividing this nation for political purpose plays into the hands of the power brokers. Period. End of story.
Sticking labels on others is destructive. They are equal to you. Your peers. Created by the same creator, with the same rights.
I have really bad news for you. Both parties lie to you. Neither want what is best for you. Sure, there are good people that get elected, but a vast majority of those good people become corrupt and serve their power brokers at the expense of those they were to serve. The worship of money dominates. They become bought and paid for. They become slaves.
Wolfie, I don't like to call names, but I feel you are just a political hack. Both parties are a fraud, not just one. Both have been so far removed from the founding ideals that they should be hung for treason. Both have tried to steal the power of the people and try to hide the truth from the masses. All the proof is hidden in plain sight from those without the desire to discover it. The more I discover, the more I know, the more disappointed I am, but the more I know who I am and how to stand.
I guess I have to suffer your nickle/dime politics for the next few months, but the truth doesn't change.
Greg
Greg you were doing real well before you called me a hack, when in fact I am a D by default since the GOP failed me in protecting Family Values, the Economy and War. What are they even good at? Getting poor whites to think they are better than the richest black?
Yeah I am a D and a hack, but I used to be a GOP hack until I woke up and saw the scam.

If you claim to have woke up, why are you either a D or R? If you have seen the scam, how can you support either.
Back to the subject of "why not Gary Johnson?" I think voting non-republican is good as much as voting non-democrat is great. They both suck.
Sometimes I enjoy seeing how blind some can be. Who is the most racist, R of D? I'm well removed from both, and democrats are far less tolerant to having blacks off the democratic plantation in my opinion. I want free people that know how to remain free and race has nothing to do with that. All should be self-governed.
Libertarian probably describes me more than the other parties, but if it ever goes main stream, it will be corrupted too.
Greg
I need to see what the D's platform on guns are before I choose. If they want to ban them then I will be voting for Johnson. I have no problem with background checks.

They pay you that much to shill for Hill' in a group that doesn't even have 600 members? What would they have paid you if they thought you were good at this?

Correct newshoooter, not as good as Ted Cruz.
Gary has some good ideas; but this is all he has. Heck, many folks on this form have good ideas; but that doesn't mean you have to vote for them for president.
However, he has no chance of being elected.
Ever since politics came into play, many thousands of years ago, the one who is seeking office/position has to package themselves to the public and/or voting constituents. Gary has done nothing to package himself for the American people to take notice. If he was serious, he should have made a splash earlier on. Therefore, he is a foregone conclusion only to be trotted out by the liberals to help split/discourage the Republican voting block. Very similar to Ross Perot.
At this point in time there are two legitimate candidates for the presidency; Trump or Clinton. If a person wishes to vote their conscience, that is up to them. But unfortunately, if they don't vote for one of the two legitimate candidates, their vote helps to elect their nemesis.
I know and have heard all the complaints about our two party system and how it needs to be changed, and I don't necessarily disagree, but to change it will take time, most likely after many of us have taken a dirt nap. The process of correcting it, is starting at the local level.
Bottom line, we have system that favors two parties....those are the cards we are dealt with; we have to work within those cards and then try change it....but it can't be done overnight. In theory could it be done, uh...maybe. But there are too many variables that would need controlling that can't be; so theorizing is great coffee cup conversations.
We have an election in November that could have dramatic effects on the future of our kids, their kids and further generations. The incoming president will have to pick at least one Supreme Court Judge, if not more; this in itself is a major concern to vote for one of the two. The defense and protection of this country is at a cross roads. Divisiveness is creating havoc. The President coming in has a tall challenge and needs to have the resources and intellect to tackle these.
The question is, which candidate is the better candidate to lead our country out of the mess? Based upon the two candidates, Trump clearly has the edge. With Hillary, we will have the same, if not worse circumstances than we have now.
I would trust Trump appointing the Supreme Court; I could not trust Hillary. There are several 2nd Amendment cases working their way through the system; another liberal justice could ring havoc with the 2A and our rights. This alone is enough to vote for Trump.
*Full disclosure, I did not support or vote for Trump in the primary. My guy was Rick Perry/Scott Walker.
Good day! :)
I'll make this easy for you.
Hillary Clinton is anti-gun. She will put anti-gun justices on the Supreme Court.
If you vote for Johnson, that's a vote that Trump doesn't get. In effect, you're voting against your own gun rights.
The choice is simple. The NRA endorsed Donald Trump. I will be voting for Donald Trump. He isn't perfect, but he's better than an anti-gun leftist loon like Hillary Clinton.
Voting for Hillary is a vote for gun control (directly). Voting for Johnson is a vote for gun control (indirectly).
I am with Patriot on this one.

That sums it up nicely.
I would love to see a two candidate system where we had no parties, open primaries to all voters, and then a run off between the two candidates with the most votes after the primaries. That would eliminate the splintering of votes on "third party" candidates.
Of course that system would have likely given us two terms of Bush 1, no AWB in 1994, and who knows what after that.
