Title: 10mm 180gr softnose Federal Bullet?
Post by: Bruno747 on July 08 2016 05:50:21 PM MDT
Has anyone found anything comparable for handloading?

I would like to work up some loads with a bullet like this for deer season out on one of our farms.

I've seen the Sig V Crown bullets for reloading somewhere, can't remember where right now though.

Sierra makes the Sig V Crown bullets but they are hard to find

Midway and Cabelas both have the 155, but I don't see the 180 anywhere currently.

I must be missing something, how is a V-Crown similar to the ammo the OP linked to?

And FWIW the local Cabela's has 165 V-Crowns.

Yep, 165, not 155. My mistake.

I have shot the heck out of the Sig ammo, and find it to have great penetration and expansion. I think it would make a great deer hunting round.
