Loading 40 cal for a friend and was thinking they were 10MM shorts. Well, I am laughing anyway. ;D :)) Craig
That's what they are 40 short and weaker... ::)
acorns don't fall far from the tree...
I always tell others 40 is a 10mm short :)
Did read something of interest today . The FBI is now recommending to their officers to get rid of 40 cal and go with 9mm. I always heard they wanted 10mm but it was too much for them to handle. I don't know if it's true or not but a good story that got me interested in 10mm to start with. Craig
^^^ true. lot of S&W 3rd gen 40s' starting to the market at good prices.
back to topic,40S&W,my 40S&Ws' loaded/reloaded for my S&W 610 10mm revolver are probably up and equal to all the watered down 10mm ammo on the market.
Well got my Smith M&P40 today and it's sweet very complete and very lightly used. Will update tomorrow when I shoot it. BYW the mags hold 15 rounds so not much smaller capacity than a 9mm I would think. Kind of makes it a little heavy for carry I would think. Oh well nice gun and I will update after shooting. Craig
Shot today and comparing the 40 to the Taurus 709 slim that I have been shooting lately it was very good and I will get better with it I feel. Just got it for test firing 10mm shorts for a friend as I feel it is to heavy to carry concealed with loaded mag. Nice gun though, I will enjoy shooting it!!
Sounds good Craig. I enjoy the 40S&W cartridge in several firearms with conversion barrels, it helps to maintain some proficiency while the trigger, grip and sights remain the exactly the same...with the amount of 40S&W brass around, it only makes sense to stoke some up with my cast bullets and play! ;D
I've used Blue Dot, Power Pistol, and BE-86 in them with great performance from the 10mm Shorts 8)
