...just for kicks; I sure as hell don't 'need' it, but it's been years since I've had a shoulder-arm, and this one looks fun.   ::)   :)  Any experienced yay- or naysayers here?

And would this 2X TruGlo Dual Color 42mm Red Dot Sight...

...fit correctly and be the correct height?  (Sorry about this perhaps-lame question; I know NOTHING about these or other UBRs.)

I did a big write up in another thread. I would ask if they would clearance the feedramp and polish the bolt face and firing pin chamber before they shipped it. Mine has been shooting well since getting that work done on a trip back to the factory.  The only issue that remains is the firing pin sticks on the last round on occasion. Happened once last weekend, always occurs on the last round so I have been checking it before charging a new magazine.  That said I really like the form factor of the gun and the light weight.

I bought one of those Tru-Glo's for an AK pistol.  It did not last very long. I'd spend a little more and get one of these - http://www.opticsplanet.com/truglo-tru-tec-red-dot-sight-20mm-2-moa-reticle-black-tg8120bn.html . The quality differenceis night and day and the riser height works perfect on my ASR.

Azrckcrawler have you worked up loads for your rifle? Are you loading for accuracy? What kind of groups are you getting and what components are you using?

I'll post up in the other thread when I have some data to show.   I am backlogged on load testing after destroying my shooting chrony a few weeks back.  Right now I am planning on shooting one of each of the 10mm loads I have developed so far thru the ASR and my SIG P220. The Labradar unit lets you shoot for accuracy at the same time so I will post up some target pics when I get them.  On deck I have loads using precision 170gr coated RNFP,  Bayou 180gr coated RNFP,  Berry's 165gr RNHB, 180gr Lead RN projectiles and some pulled 180gr FMJ's.  Powders are AA#9, Longshot and BE-86.  The goal is to duplicate the accuracy of the Sig 180g FMJ ammo which my ASR shot really well on the initial sighting @50yds with a 2X red dot.

My 45acp barrel liked 6.3gr of BE-86 under a 230gr FMJ @ 1.25OAL.  This was 25yds standing as I dialed in the red dot. Once I got it centered I started to take some quick shots at the head. I haven't chrono'd any 45acp loads yet in the ASR but plan to.
