Title: Glock 40 Lone Wolf .40 cal conversion
Post by: Wolfie on April 14 2016 03:54:22 PM MDT
Got the Lone Wolf barrel and ran 50 rounds of Federal aluminum and 50 rounds of Federal brass. Gun ran nearly perfect, had a few round hit me on the head but that's acceptable.

Then ran 10 Buffalo Bore 220 and 10 Silvertips in the 10mm and they ran great.

Even though I am a 1911 fanboy the Glock is just a superior weapon.

I don't disagree that a Glock is great.

But, man this thread is likely to be entertaining.

:))

Well, I have 6 1911 10mm's and 2 Glock 10mm's. I trust the Glocks more than the 1911's based on experience. My Sig 220 is great also but the Glocks are way more practicable and versatile.

Looks like you need to give the better  10 mm witnesses some love.

You have a great collection of 10 mm firearms. I just think you're a little heavy on the 1911.

My Witness Hunter arrived at my gun guy yesterday. I did not get one earlier because I need 10 round magazines here. Once I get my license signed by the judge I will pick it up and report back.

How do you like the glock 40 compared to the EEA witness hunter? I have a RIA 1911 10mm that has been my edc for three and a half years. Never had a problem with it till last weekend when it quit locking back on the last round. I also have a EEA witness elite match 10mm that is a sweet shooter. I am looking to add another 10mm to my inventory in the near future but I a unsure which one I want.

The Witness Hunter looks like a fine gun. But I just got it and have to wait to get it on my license. Once I get it I will shoot it along with the G40. The Hunter is a inch longer, I would go with the G40.

I have never been able to get any Glock to group as tightly as a 1911, most any good revolver, and many other pistols. It's just the way it is. That said I love my Glock 20 Longslide as well as my LW 6" .40SW conversion, I do need to use a 17# spring though. I love shooting .40SW with my HiPoint 4095 Carbine and Glock during a range outing.

I typically can't group quite as tight with my Glocks either but I will say the G40 seems to be able to. So, when I put real sights or a red dot I will give it a huge thumbs up. It does quite well for the Crappy stock sights though.
