I picked up two boxes with my last Midway order, cause I like the bullet and the price was good...
Loaded up (setup to I should say) 50 rnds to try. I went to old stand buy Blue-Dot. I don't like to quote recipes, so lets just say near max. ;D :o As its been below max for previous 135g loads I load for Coyotes. (Noslers)
I charged 7 cases, opened the box of bullets and said to my self...well these are long as I seated one into a case... Thinking well this is near a compressed loading...WAIT A MINUTE HERE!! WOAH!
I am now in uncharted territory. Loads for a 135 really cant be used and 180's while surely safe... are likely pretty light.
Has anyone used these? I am wondering what you have found.

I've been experimenting with these over the last few months with BE-86 and Power Pistol. I used max loads for 180 grain bullets as my start load and worked up from there in .02 increments.
I was hoping to get 1500 f.p.s. but the last test loads were over that with no signs of excessive pressure even in the Glock 40. I'm gonna keep bumping the powder charge up till I either start to see some pressure signs or run out of powder space. It is conceivable to get these to 1600 f.p.s. :o (at least in my 6" RIA Pro) :P
Would love to see what these bullets do in gel at those velocities.

I also bought these on sale, screaming deal. $24.60 for 250!
This is one item where the reviews are pretty helpful. Picture and everything:

Well, Looks like 180g loads for a start...
Dont "need" top velocities, as they are 40 S&W bullets anyhow.

I used 11.5 gr blue dot and got mid 1200s. I use the load for my carry ammo. I'm sure you could use a little more, Although I'm not sure it would fit.
Just an update, tried 5 different powders. The best load thus far has been;
CCI magnum primer
New star line brass
9.2 gr Power Pistol
That load turned back 1420 fps through my Glock 40 MOS.
The previous load of blue dot only got 1240 fps through the same gun.
Finished up my testing on these yesterday afternoon.
All loads tested were loaded in new Starline brass with a CCI 300 large pistol primer loaded to an OAL of 1.255
All three guns shot these into groups from 3"-4" at 50 yards. I forgot to mic the cases but there were no "smiles" or noticeable case bulges even in the G40.
BE-86 10.0 gr.

6" Glock 40: ave. 1512 f.p.s. ES 20 SD 9

Power Pistol 10.6 gr.

Well I shot the 135's yeaterday.
The "hot" loads sounded SHARP. had different recoil and sound. but showed no appreciable case head expansion and normal primers... The loads using 180 data, where as expected LIGHT!
ALL shot accurately. (@ 15')

Any penetration tests? I just picked up 2k of these and plan to load some up for my G29 and FNX45T. Unfortunately, don't really have anywhere to perform jug testing...
This youtube video I found shows how these performed at 1310 fps in water jugs:

So I tested some of these in my 40-Super FNX45T... Went all they way up to 12 gr of Power Pistol. Unfortunately, I didn't see anywhere near the same numbers as you and I was compressing the powder at 11 gr. Nice easy to shoot rounds, no apparent stress on the brass either. Don't think I was having chrony issue since I shot a whole bunch of other stuff afterwards and they all checked out with my previous tests. :(
5.25" EFK 40 Super Barrel
Power Pistol
Win SRP
1.240" OAL
9.0 gr, 1259 fps, ES 97, SD 41
10.0 gr, 1328 fps, ES 77, SD 31
11.1C gr, 1414 fps, ES 100, SD 40
12.0C gr, 1457 fps, ES 54, SD 27
I will make some rounds in 10mm and test in my G29 and 16" Mechtech. I'd really like to get these over 1600 in the FNX45T, 1400 in the G29, and 1700 in the Mechtech, should make an awesome hunding/SD round.
Perhaps on the next run of 40 Super tests I'll stop using the Winchester and us SB primers instead, much better SD in my 5.56 loads.
