Will this magazine work? (Stuck in NY and 15 round mag is out)

Let me know ASAP, I want to buy it.

Thanks

Wolfie,
Once you get it and put it through its paces could you give us your impressions of it? I've got a G40 and STI Perfect 10 and am curious about the Witness Hunter.

What do you guys want to know about the Hunter? Mine is on it's second re-do and is just an outstanding 10mm shooter! I have shot everything through it like 6-8 years now and I originally picked it up used.

I have no questions, always liked these but they came with 15 rounds and that left me out in NY.

Now that I could get the 10 round magazines I am in.

Since you asked why is ther 2 re do's?

Thanks Intercooler.

How is the trigger? Is it like a striker fired pistol or more like a 1911?

I've read the rear sight tends to works its way loose. Any truth to that or is it something easily fixed by loctite?

Is there aftermarket support for holsters?

I assume the importer and Henning are the sources for aftermarket parts like grips etc.?

Is the polyagonal barrel rifling an issue for shooting lead?

The adjustable rear sight can and eventually will go. Lifetime warranty on a new gun and Henning is working on a replacement.  He makes fixed option like on mine now.

The trigger is like a 1911 and after some use will be sub 3lbs. Holsters are a search for the Hunter and I haven't experienced issues shooting lead.

Does another double-stack longline exist? I was just thinking... I can't recall one!

I just looked and you're correct.  Are those the only two?

Yes, I think its basically plastic versus steel. And budget. Glock is 2 to 300 less.
I really like the modifications you made to your Hunter

And I thought STI had something....

My STI Perfect 10 holds 14 rounds. Actually they have several different magazine lengths to accommodate even more rounds.

All the listings for this gun say it's ported, but on the manufacturer website, it says nothing about porting. Looking online I can find no images that confirm porting. Can any owners confirm or deny this?

Side thought...

Anyone ever seen a Elite gold custom in 10mm. I could deal with that. I'd buy one today and full price if it was available.

That Gold Team is ported.

Yes definitely ported. The holes on the comp go through to holes in the barrel also. The slots in the slide are just to lighten the weight of it.

I know the one I linked is ported. I was asking if anyone had seen that model in 10mm.

A separate question was above that and in relation to the hunter listed in the OP. Is the witness hunter ported like the listing says?

I am 90% that the hunter is NOT ported. I am also 90% that the gold team is the only factory ported tanfo pistol. Lots of people port them for competition. But that is after original purchase.

The Gold Team 10mm is ported and the Hunter 10mm isn't.  I have seen a few 10mm Gold Teams around.

Just picked my gun up. Does the hammer need to be pulled back to fire or can you just pull the trigger to move the hammer back. I ask because when I pull the trigger and the hammer is not cocked nothing happens.

It's single action only. Rack the slide, that advances a bullet in to the chamber, (also cocking the hammer), pull the trigger.

Bang !
