Title: Rock Island 1911 10mm Double stack mags?
Post by: 254Shooter on March 05 2016 02:32:52 PM MST
Hi
New to the group here in Tx!
I am in the market for the new double stack RIA 1911
10MM. Just curious about what everyone is using for mags? The pistol comes with one factory mag, is there a sorce for these mags (double stack 10mm) or alternative to RIA mags? Thanks

You can order additional mags from Rock Island, but they are not cheap. Mainly because you then have to order the rubber pad separate. There is a post several pages down that mentions other mags you can use. Do a search with the double stack model #.  I wanted this model but the extra expense of the mags and not knowing how thick the grip was deterred me for now.  Good luck, Nelson

Try triple k mags.  They work great for 10mm in my para p16, which appears identical dimensionally.

Greg Cote has one from Act Mag that he says is the OEM mag for RIA.
