Since it's in the paper catalog, yes let's hope they have some type of beta or better unit at the show.

Somebody will have something new in 10mm.  ;D

You got an inside line on that last comment or are you talking about the Bruin or Grand Power?

Id throw my wallet at the dealer to get an M&P in 10mm.

Springfield is advertising that hey will be introducing 50 new products at SHOT show...
Perhaps there's a 10 in the mix?

Springfield includes and existing gun with a new surface finish as a new product.  Seems like most of the changes center around XD's with threaded barrels, Range Officer in brushed stainless, adding some rails, putting some laser accessories on at the factory, and calling them new products.

Good for marketing noise, but not really expanding the line.

The XDs 40 is interesting though

I would love to see a mod 2 10mm!

That said, I think it's much more likely to see something else I would like. a 4"+ 45 mod2. I have hated the grips on their XD lines forever. It's really the reason I never got into my XDS too much, even with the rubber surround I have on it I can still feel those god awful blocks under it. The mod2 grips, save for the GRIPZONE billboards are awesome.

Kimber Revolver

I saw it on their website. They claim it is the lightest production 357 revolver. I bet the S&W scandium 357 revolvers are lighter.

When that baby jams, it will take forever to get back from the factory, they will blame you and it will come back with a deep scratch.  :))

Here is a link to Jeff Quinn's daily updates.

Nothing too startling at media day at the range other than the Ruger suppressor.

A 227 10mm would up the capacity for sure. (At least to 12 with flush mag) More on Extended mags. Same barrel as 220.

For me it is, as I don't buy railed 1911s.

I kinda wanna design a new 10mm from the ground up, then release the design to the world just so there is another type of 10mm that is totally overdone. We have the 1911 market for sure, but anything else...

Not at all. Do I want a Springfield 1911 10mm? No, but if the Springer fanboys start shooting a 10 the popularity will grow. The more the popularity grows the more other platforms will be looked at for adaptation. Let's be honest, there are very few ground breaking designs left for firearms. What we can hope for is that the 10mm will see a larger appreciation that will, hopefully, lead to new innovations for the caliber. For that reason alone I want to see as many companies as possible release a platform in 10mm. Even platforms that are already flooded.

Springfield collectors may want it, but it wont be enough. They have a nice bobtail one in the custom shop. They should have used something like that to get my coin.

I just saw a post on another forum that SIG has a P227SSE on display. Could there be a 227 10mm in the future?

Turns out this is just alloy frame with a finish to make it look like stainless. >:(

Partially true, apparently there are two, the alloy one you mention and a real all stainless model. Sigforum covers it pretty well.

Nice, but will it have "teething problems" as did their 9mm?

So uh...I saw the post by smith and wesson saying something about the second generation of the M&P platform. Then nothing. Did they actually show anything new for shot show. Theories were that smith and wesson was going to show something similar to the p320 in terms of modularity so that they could go for the modular handgun contract.

I can't find any information other than the ported shield when it comes to M&P and shot show 2016.

In my opinion shot show 2016 was a bust. Everything I was hoping would be shown was not. Even items that were already slated for release mid last year didn't get mentioned. :(
